One of the reasons they got so big in the 80s and 90s was that they were some of the first ones to use barcodes to keep track of their inventory. That way, they could see what was more in demand at the end of each day, and so order even more of it. This actually changed much of the American retail economy to a 'Pull' rather than 'Push' system, where retailers order products based on real-time consumer demand, rather than producer's production schedules.
They also have so much sway here in the US, that they can actually force companies to sell them their inventory for really low prices, or they will drop them as suppliers. This has actually caused much of the US's production loss to China, so that companies can compete to sell retailers the lowest prices possible just for exposure to consumers.

We have a 2 NEW WalMarts open in the past 10 years with in 10 miles of each other. 1 is a Super WalMart and the other has the Automotive Service. It's Amazing. One of the Amazing things WalMart doesn't do is choose models to work at their stores. They hire all walks of life and give everyone a chance. They do not discriminate what so ever You'd never see these people working at Macy's, JC Penny's, SEAR's, ETC. If you been with the company a long time you can make really good money and earn a good living. I know WalMart workers making over $20 an hour PLUS BENEFITS USD just working in the stock room.
I have never ever seen a Walmarkt in Europe
I've never seen one in Australia either, and here the language barrier isn't even that big for them, American is very close to English (some people even think they're the same). Only major problem would be labeling everything in metric (which is compulsory)

It is true that you deserve more subs but it is hard to fight mainstream entertainment, so don't be discouraged. You're doing a great job and because it is done with the heart, nothing has to change. You are doing good and you are doing something that isn't really a trend, informing people. With love and perseverance this will become big, and I am sincerely excited about it! Untitled Name . The Wal-Mart where I live in the Northeast has the self checkout registers where you just go to them scan your purchases, bag them, and pay for them with your credit card or debit, than be on your way. I find them phenomenal! 👍

Hey, I'm a positive guy but I think you have me wrong - I admire Sam Walton's original drive and ambition but not the Walmart of today. Monsanto on the other hand.. I have nothing positive to say about them period.

+ColdFusion Dang, seriously nothing positive to say about Monsanto? I get that their litigation of farmers that infringe their patents may seem extreme, but they did engineer a blight resistant papaya that arguably saved the fruit, donated food and water to drought scourged Kenya in 2011 as well as helping engineer and distribute a drought resistant cassava to the region, and hold patents on a vitamin A infused "golden rice" to combat preventable blindness in developing countries. The company is at least a mixed bag.
A video on Norman Borlaug or biotech in general would be interesting, but I understand if you don't want to open up that can of worms due to popular opinion of biotech. Anyway, I'm really enjoying your videos so far, cheers

In the UK, we have a shop called ASDA which is run by Walmart so that could be another reason for how big it is.
Ben Melling you should see Mexico they have Bodega Aurrera and Superama owned by Walmart and there own stores I think they have 2,000 stores down there
