HD wigs need heat to repair wear and tear...using a wet dry straightener...wetting the fibres, then applying heat.. not too hot...hently combing..doing it again..while wig is on stand...when you can see that fibres are thin again.and flat ..gently comb....leave to dry on stand.
It is a hard choice between the two versions. I, like Roxie, have a full head of hair (not thick, but it's all there). I tried the Zara Lite due to its extra qualities and it did not work for me. I would have to stick to the regular Zara, which has the features I like (full mono, lace front, extended nape). I don't need (but sometimes appreciate, as in Rachel) the fully hand tied feature. If you have hair, the regular Zara is definitely the way to go. My colors are the PS and Venice blondes but I also feel good in 12FS8. Thanks, Roxie. One or the other Zara works for everyone.
@wigscom would you recommend one of these for those with a petite size head? Im probably a small petite according to my measurements and I've been looking at the the Gisele as my#1pick & Rachel or Zara as my #2 pick right now on your website. I do have a virtual consultation appt scheduled this week.
Absolutely love this. Both colors look beautiful on you, although I think I favor the 12fs8, as well. Can you tell me what kind of comb you used in this vid and where to get it? Thanks so much!
Can you please speak to difference in density between the two cap styles? I prefer ear to ear lace, the velvet ear tabs kill me and look so bad, but I’m not sure if the lite style is dense enough.
Zara is Soo gorgeous on you. I have her in Palm Springs Blonde. Definitely a knockout piece. I want to try her in the Light because I think she may look a bit more realistic. While the original is a lot of hair, the overall appearance of the thick platinum color from afar and in photos can come off a bit unrealistic. So next up I'm looking forward to trying a Zara lite, hopefully in Malibu!!
I had a really hard time deciding between cap styles. I ordered the lite version since I like to glue my wigs and the velvet ear tabs screw that up for me. It seems like the regular has a higher density hair is that true? I wish the lite was more dense but ultimately it’s beautiful.
I own Zara. It’s beautiful and I get so many compliments. The issue I’m having is the wig is now frizzy and rough textured. What can I try to smooth from mid shaft to ends?
I use a detangling spray to comb it out (make sure there are NO tangles or knots/snarls etc) and then mount it on a wig head on a tripod (just like you'd use for a camera) and put it in the bathtub. Heat some water up to about 150-180F (not boiling!!) and pour it gently down the fibers. The heated fibers will soften and straighten out completely,. Follow the hot water rinse with a cold water rinse to set the fibers. NOTE: This will remove ALL of the curl in the fibers and they will be absolutely STICK STRAIGHT, so if you like the loose body wave you will need to use a heated styling tool to put it back into the ends of the fibers after the straightening treatment (your curling iron should not be more than 150F, I use a styling tool with adjustable temp control and always test a small strand before going all in to make sure it isn't too hot). Search RUclips for videos that show the "hot water method" of how to straighten a synthetic wig.
Hi Roxie, I’m Roxie too. 😊. I enjoy watching your reviews. It’s hard to tell from reviews if Malibu blonde (12FS12) is light enough. Does it have enough light blonde in it to offset the darker color running throughout? I really like the JR Rachel review you did with Laguna Blonde. It looks lighter but don’t know if it has any darker tones to offset. Thank you!
Oh no! We do have a variety of styles throughout our site and media channels that might fit your preference more! & dry shampoo made for wigs should solve the shiny issue with wigs! )..
I also feel like, getting the nape hair wet prior to putting her on helps.
She's beautiful. I love the density of the lite cap so much more. Just not loving the price tag for Canadians. 😢
Love it! Like the Second one you put on I think it’s what you said the darker route
I though the lite wigs were a lighter density. Is that not the case? I love your reviews, thank you!

Love Zara!! What is the actual name of the second one?
The cap is so thin, could be delicate. Does this kind of cap last as long as a regular wefted cap? Is it as sturdy?
Yes, it would be more delicate! definitely would recommend the Lite for those who have thin to no hair!

Beautiful. On my list.

You can try the plastic hot air brushes to smooth the fibers. The plastic ones are supposed to be regular synthetic safe.

Laguna blonde is a light blonde. Light. No darkish shades in it.
