    Interesting climbing SRT on the tail of your doubled rope! I hadn't seen that done before. Anyone trying the Top Croll out in this configuration should put a backup point of attachment to their climbing line, such as a prussik loop right above the Top Croll. This is an important safety measure as you can pull or kick out of the Top Croll ascender (or any toothed/cammed ascender), and unlike a handled ascender, you can't add a carabiner to ensure that the climbing line stays correctly oriented in the ascender. In a rope access configuration, they would have a second line and an ASAP Lock or something similar. Stay safe my friends!

    Even though I climb SRS I am more interested in the non SRS model. That loop setup in the middle looks it would make everything to tight and binding.

    • @brushlife9426
      @brushlife9426  4 года назад

      Tieing a running bowline with a long tail and connecting the tail to the zig Zag would eliminate eny binding concerns and easy to untie

      @@brushlife9426 I am more just talking about it being to tight around the crotch area lol. I like my saddle being open and loose there.

    What kind of friction saver do you use and what kind of rope with the zigzag? Good job

    • @brushlife9426
      @brushlife9426  5 лет назад

      The rope I'm using is Yale prism and the friction savers in the video are tree squeeze by Buckingham and a adjustable friction saver from wesper I use different ones to but those are the ones in the video
      Thanks for watching 👊🏽✌🏽👍🏽😎

    How’s the cube holding up? I love the double rope canopy anchor. Such a good idea. You could set up a floating prusik and use the Vectran loop to hold as you ascend then just loosen the slack and start working at the top.

    I want to expand my arsenal of techniques. I climb DRT with a taught line hitch. I want to try SRT, and use a device to tend my slack. Any suggestions on what to try first? I was looking into the zig zag but thought I'd ask the people here some opinions and suggestions.

    • @brushlife9426
      @brushlife9426  5 лет назад +1

      Basic is the way to start off for sure at least that's how I feel I climbed over 10 years on Blake's so I would start on taught line and git comfortable.i feel like that gives you a strong foundation And for SRT I would recommend hitch climber with tether and rope wrench and hitch climber works great both ways Drt and Srt

    • @conorsmith5471
      @conorsmith5471 5 лет назад

      @@brushlife9426 I have been looking at the hitch climber as well. I like the versatility. Going to give SRT a try once I get the gear together. Thanks for info.
