On left is Bud Abbot, on the right Lou Costello. My mom met both at the opening of one of their movies during WW2. She was an usher at the opening and helped them back stage. She had signed photos from both but unfortunately they were lost during a move at some point. They attended the opening in San Diego because that was where thousands of Navy personnel were staged before going into battle.
"Tim Conway - Dishonorable, a Discharge" I believe this skit was from "the Carol Burnett show" he has a lot of funny skits like this. If you like it you should check out others. My grandmother used to watch Abbott and Costello regularly. We also watched Jerry Lewis & Dean Martin, they were also very famous for doing comedy skits.
I love these old B&W TV shows from back in the days. On very rare occasions when school days were cut short (or teach was hung over) class time was filled with these old classics instead of trying to start a learning session.
There are some pretty good Abbott & Costello movies also, like Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein, and others, where they starred with some famous actors and actresses of the time period.
Laurel & Hardy have some wonderful short films and sketches. "Why Didn't You Tell Me You Had Two Legs" is a great introduction for a RUclips reaction. There's a few decent compilations like "Laurel and Hardy Best Clips." "The Music Box" is one of their all time best, but it's a bit long for a channel reaction though I'm sure it could be edited down.
Kabir, Abbot & Castillo bring back such fond memories for me. My bio-mom passed away when I was 9 hrs old and my great Aunt and Uncle adopted my brother and I. We got my mom’s brown leather sofa bed she had in her apartment. I was allowed to sleep on in that summer. I absolutely loved sleeping on that couch. It was huge and comfy. It was nice and cool downstairs and I would stay up late watching old school tv show like the Honeymooners, Three Stooges and Abbot & Castillo for the first time while eating ice cream floats. The couch reminded me of mom of course and I got to watch these classics shows as well. 🥰 🤗 Best memories ever. Thank you!
That was great! I enjoy these older skits. You may enjoy some of Buster Keaton's humor. Check out Buster Keaton & Edward Cline - "Dinner Scene" from "The Scarecrow" (1920)
Other examples of fast talking 'wise guys'. The Marx Brothers could get off some 'corkers' now & then. Do you know what a 'spoonerism' is? I don't care for HEE HAW, being a country & western show. But they had a guy called Archie Campbell that could go on a long story full of spoonerisms. Search "Archie Campbell Rindercella" & I'm sure you will get the idea. I don't know that any high quality video exists though. Good thing Rindercella 'Slopped her dripper'. LOL!!
Do some Emo Phillips stand up. A one of a kind comedian. He is like if Mitch Hedberg, Steven Wright, Anthony Jeselnik and George Carlin had baby. In the stand up world Emo is a legend, but so many people pass on him, probably because of how he looks. He is so mellow, and uses a lot of puns, and sometimes its a little morbid and most often, the joke goes in a direction you had no idea it was going to. --------- Another legend that passed away a few months ago in February, that nobody reacts to is a guy named The Amazing Jonathon. So, please if you can, do some Emo Phillips and some Amazing Jonathon..... and if you have time do some Sinbad and Bob Nelson I am personally kind of getting bored of everyone reacting to the same old same old, when there is so much more out there. 80s and 90s comedians were awesome, and I think you should do more comedians. Just look up top comedians of all time, or top 100 comedians and do them all. Why not? Another comedian I haven't seen anyone do yet is The Unknown Comic. Comes on stage with a paper bag on his head with holes cut out for his eyes. I think he takes it off after being introduced. Also, so many people react to Jeff Dunham, but there was people before him that even made him possible. Check out these two ventriloquist, legends, absolute legends. "Willie Tyler and Lester" and "David Strassman and Chuck Wood" please please please be trend setter not a follower.
Parts of. Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein, Abbott and Costello meets the mummy Abbott and Costello and the invisible Man Abbott and Costello meets Dr jeckel and Mr Hyde Abbott and Costello in the Navy Abbott and Costello. And Jack and the Bean stock Abbott and Costello as a ghost Abbott and Costello in busting ghost. Try any of those thanks.
"Little Joe!"
Favorite moment.

Like his bit on the elephants.
@@danlnad That is the best one.
My grandma used to play these for me all the time. I don't remember this on but it's great!

You might be interested in "The Marx Brothers" another classic comedy group.
Watch the Abbot and Costello meet the Mummy. There's also another comedy duo from the same era, Laurel and Hardy to try.
Back when Vaudeville was still around...you had to memorize your routines! You worked in front of a live audience!
Heck yeah I’m the first like!
Burns and Allen are nice.
