Nice leisurly puzzle, with just some challenge to it. Basically the 38 oblique pair in block 1, the resulting 156 segment in the middle row of block 3, and the 18 pair in block 5, remove all semblance of difficulty to the puzzzle. Enjoyable ride.
10:38 is actually a clash with the bottom 8. The pair of 8 you describe should be vertical not horizontal, shouldnt it? So you cant determine the 8 in the next step in the top left field?
In fact, I could have placed the 8 immediately in r3c8 if I'd noticed the 8 in column 9. There is no fluke here because 8 is limited to row 3 in block 3 because row 2 in block 3 consists of 156 only.
