Industry standard is 4" down and 4" over to center of image for crest placements. I usually follow this rule unless the garment demands a different placement (V-necks) or the shape of the crest to be printed just does not look right by that formula. But I find it usually works on most shirts / designs. I adjust my garment loading position as i go thru the different sizes of shirts. Appreciate the reply. Funny enough, I had not watched the curing videos, but I did just watch the one with your brother printing, and saw your temp gun sitting right where it should be...good job! Keep up the great videos!
+Brandon Jenkis I've never heard of an industry standard for any print placements since so many people would have to come to some kind of agreement on it, which is impossible for screen printers ;) But whatever formula you use if it works then it works. Each printer really has his or her own placement standards and only after working in several different commercial shops would you have a more general placement technique. I avoided printing chest prints on V necks when I was printing. I feel V necks have no place for a left chest print. But it's done every day of course. LOL.... you always have to check on the dryer with the temp gun... for sure. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/
Doing my first batch of shirts ever. I have the back prints done, but now i have to do the crest prints. The order is for a few each of XL's, 2X's and 4X's and can't afford to screw this up. Thanks Mr. Catspit, you are a life saver! Your explanation really helped!

another great video dude ... using reference points on the shirt itself seems to make a whole lot of sense as it will scale up like you were demonstrating with the 6xl shirt. that is some awesome advice that you don't see everyday. thanks for sharing the wealth.

Hello Catspit Can I have your advice? I have no idea what kind of screen should I use to start printing. My M&R Sidewinder 6/6 has dimension pallets lenght 16" and width 22". Could you tell what screen printing is best for me? I will be very greatfull for your help. Cheers
Usually we use a 20x24 screen for manual presses and a 23x31 screen for automatic presses. I have a video about what is the best screen size. ruclips.net/video/FgSGqE_19YE/видео.html Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
now im about to start this business at my house and i have everything but i got problem with the paint i cant find it here in my country so i'm asking about if there is a solution .maybe i can prepare it or may be using another kind of paint so plz help me
+Wraparab Dzgame Unfortunately I am not a chemist or ink maker so I would not know how to guide you in this matter. I simply buy and use or resell inks. I do not make them. But there could be other "paints" or "inks" you could try. Just start experimenting with what is available. Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/
so with small through xl you print in the same location? still load the shirt centrally to platen and print in the same location? Is that because the shirt sizes dont differ enough to move the position of the print?
LOL... I was just doing some late night work on RUclips comments to catch up. Usually, yes. I may adjust for the large and extra large slightly if they are extraordinarily cut larger. It's due to the sizes being similar and the print usually looks good in relatively the same position in relation to the neck and sleeves. But you always have to adjust as needed depending on the generosity of the cut of the garments. Time for bed ;) Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/
+Art Barnett Yes, if you want you can create a different size art for larger garments. It just depends on your preference if you want to do this automatically or charge for it. Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/
Usually a left chest or "crest" print is about 3.5 to 4 inches wide and how ever tall. But we try not to make them too tall otherwise it looks awkward. But it can depend on the artwork too I suppose. I prefer more rectangular sized designs for that print. Anything circular is also easy to print due to it not being so linear. You can really tell when straight text on a chest print is crooked. do you even change the size of the print in exchange from the size of the shirt

when printing the design from my computer for left chest print, What size is the printer setting?

ok thank you
My pleasure to help out where I can.
Jesus it’s a left chest print not a chemistry test, if printers can’t figure out the placement then they shouldn’t be printing
