Hi Sumeran. Great video again. Thanks for making us viewers part of the experience by showing the clos ups. I know it takes a lot of thinking when doing a video. By the way how much did the pack cost.
    Again thanks. Your fan nick

Hi Nick, I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😁. The mre was around R340 from takealot excluding delivery. I left a link in the description if you would like to try it out. There are also other mre's on takealot with different meals in them.

Awesome video. Seems like a handy item to keep during those lazy loadshedding times and you're hungry

Hi Quin. Glad you enjoyed it. Something like this would definitely come it handy during load shedding. 👌

The fuel tablets are like blitz that you light but it lasts longer , other MREs come with a small stove you can use it with , crazy russian hacker does alot of these videos but never a SA mre , very cool

As a former member of both the Rhodesian and South African Army, I've had my fair share of military Ration Packs (Rat Packs).
It's very hard to compare the two as they were both very good. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try the new SANDF MREs, but I'm sure that they are good.
As far as how long one Rat Pack lasts, I would make one Rat Pack would last three days. So, depending on the length of the military operation (patrol), one could work on the equation of the following:- one Rat Pack for 3 days; 2 Rat Packs for 5 days; 3 for 7 days; 4 for 10 days, 5 for 14 days. That is taking into account the amount of food in the Pack.
