With poverty usually comes a lack of education as they are more focused on how to get food, pay bill, and dealing with pain. Carrying pain leads to selling and/or using drugs. which crates more pain, more crime, and mental illness, by usually carrying over to other people in some way to continue the cycle. When I'm saying words like pain and crime I don't mean specifically but more the thousands of other reasons, emotions, and experiences people are forced to go through to survive. If no one was struggling to survive and receives proper education. It can create real change for the future with more people having the capabilities to create freely. Myself was on the streets for 12 years eventually becoming a junkie, then a homeless junkie. I've been clean and off the streets for 4 years now. However not without consequences. As I face mental illness now. Definitely messed my life up physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially for partying hard for 12 years straight. No one ever leaves the streets without receiving addiction, incarceration, and/or death some unlucky Enough to get all 3. All of this is because of poverty, poverty has become the oppressor that effects all races.

I agree with all the programs they offered to combat crime in Memphis (cities nationwide should implement those). However, as long as Tenn. has that you can carry a weapon without a license law still in place then the chances of any of those tools succeeding to the maximum effect is undermined/limited. Wake up - You can't allow just any adult to buy a gun.
