I’m a die hard OKC fan but I think we might have a lil too many draft picks, if we can trade 10 percents of our picks at the chance of a chip, hell, I’d do especially because then we still have money once our rental leaves to continue paying our young guys and so on and so forth
if you look at the rotation timeline(you go to your coaching rotations then press start), often times the minutes wont match what is shown on the main rotation minutes screen. you can probably better optimize your lineup rotations there but its really annoying to have to set a completely new one every time you get an injury
i think he needs to give less minutes to the bench overall for that reason, 2K always seems to value bench player minute per game accuracy over the starters for whatever reason

Another way to make sure Shai gets the minutes you want is when you go onto roster check each position and see how many players have first or secondary postions that cover his. Maybe change some of the guys secondary positions so they don’t take up his. For example someone as a SG/SF instead of SG/PG. The other one is if he has a high fouling tendency just lower it a little
@@hemangpanchal9454 yeah if you have too many guys that can only play the same position then they can’t sub on as a secondary to get those allocated minutes. That’s why you’ll see some guys getting like 32 instead of say 36 when you set it as that
Say you have your Star playing PG/SG And your backup is PG/SG. Then the starting SG is SG/PG and his back up is SG/PG. Your star would benefit a lot more statwise if you changed at least one of the SG’s backup to a SF
Sengun would have been a good shout as well. That way the Rockets could finally start Wemby on their team that won the championship in his rookie year lol
When simulating, the AI coach will pull starters if the game is a blowout. This is why players don't get to the min mark you set them at. I have not found a way to force this.
I don't think it's super cool that you use auto-generated draft classes - the other draft classes, i.e. in 2024, -25 & -26, would make these mini-franchise series even cooler! Otherwise, keep up the good work, you make great content, which many of us clearly enjoy and look forward to.
what’s the reason for people recently not using any draft classes past 23? genuinely asking. The auto generated ones be wack like 23 year old first overall picks is common.
Trade Cam Whitmore & Jalen Williams for a stud or star small forward or have Giddey move to SF then trade for an all star shooting guard while give Chet Holmgren more minutes let him develop as well like SGA & JG

2k generated draft classes never have any players with allstar potential in them, i think you can increase the draft class quality to 55 to make the rebuilds more realistic
Sorry to spam the comments again but yeah changing giddeys secondary so he is a SG/SF not a SG/PG will also significantly help his and Shais minutes per game and statistics. He will still have the playmaking ability obviously but yeah 2K is dumb so it works better this way so him and Shai can get their allocated minutes and touches instead of having a log jam
Matt, I’ve been watching your content since I was a sophomore in high school and now I’m about to graduate college this semester. Thank you for the great content and rebuilds and being my favorite youtuber. Definitely start messing with the peak end to about 35-37 because that’s more realistic and it’s fun when the players don’t regress at 30 😎
Maybe you should check the secondary positions than the minute allocation would be better jjj probaböy has more minutes because there are not many frontcourt players in your rotaion and many backcourt players/minutes
I would trade Chet. You need a good defensive PF and center to stop the loaded rockets. Your guards are fine. Cam is still young and is developing. Your bench is alright too. I like Aldridge. I’d trade Chet. One of the big man you acquire make sure they can score. You really just need two big men that can play D and rebound. Let your guards take over. Then move Reid to the bench
Hey if you want more accurate minutes based on what you want use the rotation timeline. It’s tedious to make everything work but you get better results than just setting it the regular minute screen

Something Ive done with Giddy and Shai is changing their positions. Putting Shai at the 2 and Giddy to the 3 seems to open up both of them. Try it

You change the names of any player to anything you want once you load in the roster. Kenny just did it in his new series.
Less minutes for the players can also be a tendency of if your coach plays younger or older guys minutes
