- There are different advantages and disadvantages to 7-8-inch devices like the Nomad, and 10-11-inch devices like the Manta. The key is to be intentional in the choice, considering your own current needs, and recognising that there’s always a trade-off. You can get both devices here: supernote.com?sca_ref=7706718.xD3tnYmWFp
I love this... half way through I forgot you were talking about supernote because your decision making framework was revealing things to me about some much bigger life decisions...
Your discourse would be very helpful for newcomers to Supernote. I have the A5X and the A6X2, and I can confirm what you explained in the video. If it was not for the need to read long academic papers in PDF format with one page visible all the times, the Nomad would have been more than enough and very convenient in size. I write most of my books on the Nomad, and it is always with me because of its small footprint. The A5X is dedicated to home use when I really need to get the most out of a text. I believe a lot of people underestimate the smaller size. Thank you for your focus on intention and not on hype. New subscriber. Have a great day
Thanks so much for the kind words!
I was actually debating an iPad Air vs the Manta, but then I really had a think on it. My intention is to eliminate distraction in my life and gain back time lost to tech. Therefore, Supernote was my best option. However, I then again thought about intention and use case. I really do usually want to get the biggest, brightest, most powerful device, yet I, like so many others, do not use these devices to their full potential. My intention is to take notes and do schoolwork on this device and sometimes I will want to do that on the fly and not have to carry around a backpack for a larger device wherever I go. I settled on the Nomad thanks to your thought process. The portability really is most important to me as I would like less hurdles in between me and taking notes/doing homework. I'll be able to take this wherever I go.
Thank you very much for your video, my friend. I really appreciate this upload.
I was in total dilemma despite other videos and reddit comments. But ur point on life that we tend to go for the biggest latest sway me towards nomad. Especially the fact that you mention you did your journal, letter writing, novel planning , fitness stuff on your nomad. The only other thing i want to do is import epub to read n import pdf from my Evernote (learning a new language but its not complex academic articles) so I think it'll be fine still? But there no stock for nomad in my country yet so I gotta wait....
This is a great video, and I think the real power of Supernote specifically. It really is a size decision only because the device works exactly the same from a software experience. It's all about intention. I am excited to have time to watch your novel writing video. I completely agree with your assessment. BTW, you sound fine so no worries there.
@@Change-1820 Thanks so much. Enjoyed your unboxing video too!
thank you for this review. i love the intangibles... like the emotional attachment to a smaller device. i personally gravitate towards smaller pocketable notebooks and devices.
Wonderful insights that relate very well with my own experience. And I love Matt's Scottish accent :)
Came for the content. Stayed for the accent.
@@liketheduck 😄🏴 Not the first time I’ve heard that! Thanks for watching.
Well said… thank you 🙏
Great video, very helpful!
The ideal would be to have both. 😬
Think another question is it worth getting it if you already have the A5X.
I have the same question. I’m contemplating
I personally don't see the point, especially for the price.
@carlosespinal17 I agree. I have no issues with my A5X n it's all about the software, not the hardware (imho). Plus so far.they keep providing updates to it.
Thorough review. Thank you. 👻
omg i love your accent. i did not expect to comment this
Supernote Manta or Boox Go 10.3 for notes taking, PDF reading and PDF notes?
They're both great, I've had the Go and a6x2. I love using the go 10.3. The resolution is beautiful and ui is very snappy. Alot of freedom with your app of choice and syncing without having to side load anything
The supernote is far more durable with the Mobius screen
The go 10.3 is very thin and glass. I often consider switching back to supernote and getting the a5x so I'm less stressed traveling with my device stuffed in my bag I feel more comfortable just using the go at home alot of the time.
That all being said the supernote is a bit more expensive than the go 10.3
