***** thanks for the names! If you are still at the hotel. How about buying the scooter (and helmet) for Alexis? The scooter is a three wheeler, and a great way to learn and prepare for the responsibilities of a tricycle and bicycle. But don't let her see you buying it! Hide the scooter. When you get back home come up with a good way to surprise her. Here is a idea. While Alexis is not in the living room, call her saying "_ Alexis can you please move your scooter from in front of the door? My hands are full and I have to go outside._" Like Alexis, my daughter spotted 2 wheeler in the store. Alexis reminded me of that time. We were at the store to look for clothes for her Barbie doll. She spotted the bicycle hopped on the seat and explored how to pedal. I ask the clerk to put the bike in my car trunk without her seeing. About a week later I was looking out my front window. I said to my daughter " It looks like it is going to rain, you better put your bike in the garage before it gets wet. She got up looked at me strange and walk towards the window. She spotted the bike , ran out and rode it into the garage. The happy face she had when she came back in was priceless. She asked " How did you do that?" I grin and said "magic" ; )
