I actually feel bad about Rod. In the past few games I really thought of him as an actual maniac that turns chubby kids to ice scream, but this ending is a little plot twist that Rod was actually suffering from his memories. I was sad that he coudn't fufill his dream as a real ice cream man and see only saw her mother in the last minute... But I'm glad to see him with his mom again... In the afterlife...

The thing that I didn't like (and also liked) was the part where Rod and Sister Madeline turned into statues. They didn't deserve this (especially Rod). I actually feel bad for them.

I don’t think you understand, first off Rod was born because of a deal with a demon, that’s bad enough, but his mother also forced him to become her dead daughter, before he was taken to his father, and became overweight, then he was bullied for his whole childhood and then his father died. That’s pretty messed up, if that happened to me I’d become a maniac too.

Plus Rod mentioned all of his classmates were not breathing anymore and he also has a newspaper of a missing person who could have been one of the bully plus some may have been changed before he killed them. Plus remember in Ice scream 1 there is a guards jacket in the playground and with missing posters outside and the same guard picture on the house in Ice scream 2. Who's to say the guard saw him kidnapping a child and Rod killed him so his crimes doesn't get exposed. Maniac understandable but after what he did who will forgive him the children's family will not forgive him for taking their children and killed some of them, probably some of the bullies got married and started a family so their family is not going to forgive him either and the guard's family is dead as the old lady is probably his mother who's grave can be seen in the cemetary and rod killed her son before she died. Rod took lives of many people while I symphatize with his teenage years but he went into a dark path and became worse than his bullies were my sympathise is gone. I love him as an antagonist and if he were redeemed he probably should be in prison and understand he took many lives out of sheer petty revenge and cost many families lives to go downhill and will probably accepts his punishment whether it be prisonment for life or death.
