Drew did a subliminal tribute to Rod Roddy on this Showcase, and that's not surprising considering how he's mentioned Bob Barker, Mark Goodson, and Bill Cullen on the show so many times. The part that is subliminal is that this Showcase could have come from the late 1970's sitcom "Soap" that Rod announced. I'd say put in some Johnny Olson tributes to a Showcase too in the future!
This was tooooooo cute and funny!!!!!!!!!! I love Emily and Greg. Great sense of humor those 2 have. It shows that they don't take themselves so seriously.
So you like it that Rich was pregnant. Rich has been put in a lot of showcases, usually doing things that make him look like a fool. Besides, many of these showcases are turning into more about the skit than the prizes--and then there's host/announcer interaction, which shouldn't be happening. It's the one part of the show the host should never be a part of.
Yes, this "new direction" should be accepted--to an extent. Some things should stay the same. After all, if we need to let go of the past and accept this new direction, then does that mean if the show is changed to one showcase, four pricing games, the retirement of all but 25 pricing games, and everything electronic, we should accept that too? Absolutely not!
Actually, Race Game has only been played 5 times this season. It's the other games that offer four prizes that they hardly play. Using the games you mentioned, only Pass the Buck has seen a noticable increase in playings; however, because they play so few games, it makes it appear that they play it more often than they really are. Additionally of the 72 games that are still in rotation, 15 of them have been played 3 times or less--and we're past the half-way mark of the season.
The miracle of life should be celebrated (equals appreciating it, not doing it! :P) as part of growing up...but this might be too graphic of a depiction. This is supposed to be a TV-G show...and we've had Eminem, French kissing, 69, etc...
They have been doing better with the showcases--even those Rich has been in. As for the pricing games, that needs a lot of work. Triple Play and Credit Card haven't been played since October. It has also been a long time since they've played games like Barker's Marker$ (now Make Your Mark), Bonus Game, More or Less, Pocket Change, Take Two, Shopping Spree, Danger Price, and Magic #. Virtually all of these games are exciting--yet we are deprived of them.
In the three decades the show has been on, there has been little host/announcer interaction in the showcase--and they have been good. Now that Drew is getting involved in the showcase, they have been bad.
I'd rather have a host who makes unfunny showcases than some egomaniacal man who is in bed with every model and brings about lawsuits *coughBarkercough*.
@animegal2686 Don't give them any ideas,we're already starting to see annoying as hell ads appear during shows on the bottom of the screen and you don't think the colas and products used in shows are random do you? I remember when we could watch shows without the garbage ads popping up on screen! They take away from scary moments to dramatic moments and just ruin shows! This however was funny!
Rich pregnant? That made no sense. What are these showcases coming to? Drew must have written it, since he was the only one laughing and it wasn't even funny.
They just met as different actors characters on young and restless 2022
0:13 I saw that car.

Julius Rock would be very mortified to find out about this.

Who was the third person in the soap opera showcase (not including Emily, Greg, the models, or Rich)?

One my favorites!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich in a dress and 'pregnant' is very priceless! XD

However, the stuff you mentioned about Bob was "behind the scenes" so to speak. Drew's problems are "on screen".
My mom watch Y&R every day so it aswsome if she see this.
greg rikaart is so cute!!
Video 3063 of commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique video I watch (not dislike) in 2022.

@mrbrown2195 I agree...sad thing is, Soaps are almost an anachronism now.

Sigh...funny showcase, but references to water breaking? I wouldn't really be offended, but some parents might be.
