The amazing Lynne Thigpen, may she rest in peace, was a wonderful part of my childhood. Aside from her great acting she was host of "Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego".
Love Lynne Thigpen! Such a phenomenal actress. Although this clip is from 1994 when Ms. Thigpen was playing Grace Keefer, she actually had an earlier, smaller role on All My Children a decade earlier in 1983 as Flora Baxter.
Love Lynne Thigpen! She was the voice of reason. may she rest in peace. Aside from her great acting, I saw her when she played Leonna Barrett, the mother of an expelled student, in Lean on Me (1989), the story of American high school principal Joe Louis Clark, Grandma Walker in Blankman (1994). She had a role in the remake of Shaft (2000) as the mother of a murder victim, and played the Second President of the World Congress in Bicentennial Man (1999). Her last film, Anger Management (2003), starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson, was released a month after her death and paid tribute to her in the end credits. I also saw her when she a was host of the PBS game show "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" (1991-1995) and "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?" (1996-1998), Luna in the television show Bear in the Big Blue House (1997-2006, following a three-year hiatus after her death), and a supporting role as Ella Mae Farmer, a crime analyst for the Washington, D.C., police department, on the CBS crime drama The District (2000-2003). She guest-starred in episodes of Gimme A Break!, L.A. Law, Law & Order, The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd, Homicide: Life on the Street, Sesame Street, and Thirtysomething.
It's crazy to think that Lynne played Damon Wayans and David Allen Grier's grandmother in "Blankman" right around the time she was on "All My Children." Here you can see how young she really was.
I had forgotten that Noah had WAY too much attitude! Hated how he spoke to his aunt Grace. Even man handled her one time. Most of the time he was on the show, he had a mad face and attitude in his voice. Surprised he lasted 2 years on the show
I know that a White writer wrote this scene cause ain't a Black man alive would ever speak to his Auntie like this, regardless of how estranged they may have been. God bless the late great Miss. Thigpen cause she sold it though!😒

She was great on Where in the world is Carmen Santiago.

Ohhh Lynn played 2 characters?
she breathed power into all she did. just an amazing woman .
Watch it. No one talks to the Chief like that!
I could definitely hear Luna in her voice
Grace Keefer?
Man, Noah was an amazing addition to All my children. He would take stuff from no one. I don't know what Terrence thought he was gonna do.
Lynne did the voice of Luna on the TV series Bear in the Big Blue House.

She did the movie lean on me. . Along with a number of other daytime soap stars.

Lynne...I love you.
She will always be our moon in the sky
She will always be The Chief from Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego
Noah Keefer's easy on the eyes!
How funny.
We've got the Chief on a history show denying someone the freedom to remember the best of their life together.
Lynn Thigpen is good at acting /here from bear and the big blue house
(identifying)
Those guys need to calm themselves down.

That is why I posted this. Acting by Ms. Thigpen in this scene is incredible.
@@TheyStartedOnSoaps Noah should kick him out of the house for his way too much attitude.
Come on now. You're acting like no black person has ever disrespected an elder. It's not a race thing.
@@SergMillispeak for yourself!🙄
@@GETOSUPASTAR I am. And I'm black so I know that I've seen plenty of black people around me disrespect elders. It happens in a lot of families.
He was SUCH a horrible actor & no matter how long he was on the show, his acting never got better🤦🏾♀️
