Lol…your driving scene…how adorable 😊….the nursery is huge and full of plants 🪴. Our nurseries will take another 3-4 weeks to look full like this. Happy Easter weekend!
Hi Tracy and thank you 🚙🤣 it’s a lovely nursery and I like that the plants are already acclimatised to being outside so shouldn’t get such a shock being planted. Happy Easter 🐣
Plant shopping is the best way to spend your Easter holidays! I just love the little forget-me-not flowers of the Brunnera, they are so delicate and the spring colours of the Pieres will light up a shaded area. Good plant haul!
Lovely, they look so nice together, look forward to seeing it all come together over summer. Hope you, Richard and your families have a wonderful Easter Sunday.
Janette, nice seeing you twice in one week! Love your plant selections. Brunnera is so beautiful, I have most of those plants in partial shade except brunnera. Can't wait to see the secret garden planted up. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hello Adra and thank you for watching 🥰 yes, I thought I’d add an extra video shopping trip so I’m really pleased you liked it. Those Brunnera 😚 aren’t they lovely! Happy Easter 🐣
Just what l needed, a trip to the Nursery with you. So many plants and choices. Gosh you could spend a day there. I'm thinking of changing the Hosta patch around my water feature. It's bare for far to long before the Hosta appear and it's my view out of the kitchen window. So thinking of digging them up and placing them in bare patches in that shady water garden. I was attracted by your Brunnera (not sure of spelling) l want something very leafy, all year round. Thank you Janette, l'm off to the Nursery.
Hi Janette back from one nursery with two Brunnera and countless Osteospurmums, some coloured Dahlia tubers, now off to my local Nursery to see if they have white ones ones, before they all go.
That looks a really great choice Janette, can't wait to see them planted🌝.... Nursery's today sadly don't seem to have the time or staff to really take time helping with advice. Years ago you could be sure of always having someone on hand who had a wealth of knowledge and experience; but you manged to select some beauties!
Hi there and thanks for watching. It’s been 2 years almost since I planted all these and I’m very pleased to say they’re all still alive and happy in their spots. The Pieris really are lovely, one in particular is a gorgeous bright red in the spring, I highly recommend them 🩷
@TheEnthusiasticGardener oooh please tell me which one is brightest! I've been trying to decide by looking at dozens of internet pictures which one to get and I am going in circles 😅 I really want the bright colors. Thank you!! So glad to hear they are all happy for you!
@saralee848 my really lovely bright red one us the Forest Flame. I also have the Mountain Fire which is red but I think the Forest Flame is the showiest. I have the Little Heath too but that hasn’t had red leaves. Mine are planted in the shade, hardly get any sun so it’s nice to have some colour. Hope that helps 😄🩷
Hi Janette! It’s was fun to see what your nursery had! Since ours won’t open until the end of May here in the U.P. Of Michigan, I really appreciated the tour! You have such a wonderful selection that will bring a peaceful and colorful surrounding in your shady corner! I love Bleeding hearts and planted it directly in the sun years back when I didn’t know what I was doing!! I’m still learning!💕😬❤️
Hi there Mary, and I had no idea your nurseries open that late in the year! You must be desperate for some plant shopping! Oh I’m always learning too. Happy Easter to you 🐣
Hi Janette I'm up early today. The nursery is now on my list too. You chose some great plants. They'll give your shade corner an instant lift. Can't wait until your next vlog to see the transformation. Happy Easter🎈🍨🍧🍩❤
You chose some real beauties. I can spend all day at the nursery, especially if it's chock-full like yours! Such fun now deciding where they can go. Maybe do a big planter if you have too many for the ground 🤔? Happy Easter to you, Richard, and your pups 🐣 🗿 🐰
Mmmmmm interesting 🧐 I think 😬🌻🪴, put some welly’s on next time not your dancing 💃 shoes 😂, a favourite of mine is a tree fern just stunning but expensive , have a lovely Easter and go easy on the chocolate 😂👍
🤣🤣 I didn’t expect mud puddles everywhere but yes, next time I will wear appropriate footwear 🤣 I do love tree ferns James, never had one. But scared of overwintering them though, wrapping in fleece etc etc but they are one of my top favourites. Happy 🐣 Easter, I only have one Easter egg and I have to share it with you know who 😫🤣🐣😊🥰
Can't wait to see you planting them all. That Pieres(?) Is gorgeous I've not seen that in my area, must make a special note to try and find it. I use Astilbe in my deep shady spots.
Oh yes Astilbe is another great choice for the shade. It’s surprising how many plants there are for shade really, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. Happy Easter to you 🐣

@@TheEnthusiasticGardener we have a sunny day today snow showers Sunday night lol but everything is growing leaps and bounds! I love garden centers heading to a local one today 💃🏻 I love Holy Week in our church . Happy Easter!
Janette, I have a lemon cypress in full shade and its doing brilliantly. Been there for 5 years. I didn't know Pieris could take the shade. I shall be looking for one of those as half of my garden is shady! xx
Hi Debbie, I did wonder! Mine in the front get shade lots of the day and they still look happy enough. Did say that on the tag though, I guess plants are tougher than we think. I like them for their bright colour. Hope you’re enjoying Easter weekend, wasn’t it a beautiful day today? 🤩
Hi Jeanette! I would probably stay clear of the sago pom because I've read they are toxic to pups. Pieris has becime a favoriteof mine recently! The price on those baby japanese maples was great! Wish i could have more heuchera. The deer eat them in my garden 😭 the carex is perfect for dividing! I do that also when i get them. And the Brunerra!! Geez love it ALL. Thank you for taking us along, you got a wonderfully colorful haul! 💕
Oh I didn’t know that about the sago so thanks for telling me. I really liked it, but for £60 I didn’t want to chance killing it in the shade so I thought I’d better not take the chance. That’s a shame you can’t have heucheras because they come in so many great colours. Thank you for watching and commenting 😍
Loved the car ride over to the nursery Janette, you are a great driver😂🙌. Great choices, I can’t wait to see how and where you plant them. Muddy shoes ugh can’t be helped, a hazard in the garden💚
I love bleeding hearts, they remind me of my grandmother's garden. I think the brunnera is eye catching for the shade! The others are a nice choice of plants as well! Will the pierris grow very large? Maybe they're a dwarf variety. Great selection!
Hi there Sue, thank you. I will keep the Pieris in check and not let it get too big. I think I overdid it with 4 though 🤣🤣 might dot the others around the garden and not have them all near each other. Happy Easter 🐣
Thank you for that Maureen, I’ll keep an eye out. Lots of plants are toxic to dogs but they seem to always have a sixth sense of what to avoid but I will watch out. Wishing you a great day 😍

I always try to watch all English gardeners just to see if I can pick up some English accents .lol .
Hiya, do the new leaves on your little heath start off variegated or does that develop? I purchased a fairly large plant this weekend and the leaves in the middle are a lighter green but not variegated, I'm not sure if I should wait and see or cut this section out! 🤔
Hello there Nushie and thanks for watching. I haven’t had my Little Heath a whole year yet so I haven’t seen what it does each Spring, but I believe it’s the newest leaves which have the colour (in Spring) and then they turn a darker green as the year goes on. We will have to monitor them together and see what happens. If I were you I wanted cut anything off just yet and hopefully we will both have colourful new growth in Spring 🤞💕
