Checkout the NEW model from NEW manufacturer, CoolBank / Tongde Models: the 1/16 Mk5 Centurion RC Tank.
In this video I run you through the spec of this awesome model of the famous British Battle Tank, take it out on maneuvers on army training land, give you my honest opinion on it, before comparing it to the other versions on offer from Tamiya and Haya.

I agree on the battery placement. TD could do better if they have an accessible hatch for easy battery charging.
I 3d printed a battery box with a flap and cut a hole in the bottom of the hull. As they say, if it ain't broke.....

I'm usually not a fan of military stuff, but I have to admit that this review is cool. (as usual) . The suspension seems to work well which brings realism to the model. Well done !

Cool tank! I always likes the centurion👍 great to see more models in this scale coming out. I run my heng long leopard pretty hard and besides wearing out parts from use it hasn't let me down.

The cool bank did have recoil in the video? Not on the table of features though.

Thanks Simon. Yeah. Sorry for the confusion. Had limited space on the table with so many specs and 3 models. It meant barrel recoil, as opposed to vehicle kickback. Yep. The music had the perfect feel to it. 😎👍

All these rebrand companies use henglong internals, the TK electronics are decent compared to the old ones, but if you want to perform better you'll probably need to invest in better boards and gearboxes

I pre-ordered the Haya Centurion but I'm quite tempted to buy one of these to modify into an AVRE.

Hi. Good idea. I think the holes at the front are for an AVRE version in the future. I would like to get the Haya and CB side by side to see how they compare exactly.

Hi, I am thx for your video, I bought a HL Leopard 2A6 7.0 basic with 5000mA battery. Love the stuff and want to buy one more; either Challenge II or M1A2, then suddenly I found Coolbank 2A7 and M1A2 and of course the Centurion. Who has a better tank; HL or Coolbank? You like HL 2A6 or Coolbank 2A7? How about M1A2? Is metal gearbox is necessary? Thx
Hi. Thanks. My pleasure. Metal tracks and wheels are a must if using outdoors. Would leave metal gearbox not so much. Coolbank and Henglong very similar. I like all of them. Too hard to choose.

Hi. It is the Tongde model, just sold under the Coolbank brand the Haya is higher spec and higher price; there's a comparison table in the video.
2 things I don't like and I see it with every 1/16 RC Tank except the Taigen Tiger I, the Track Recoil when the gun is fired which is annoying to see and No Barrel Recoil when the gun is fired, other than those two, that Centurion is really nice, I wish I could get one but it cost too much to be imported to the US.
Bang on there bro! I don't mind a tiny bit of track recoil, but definately needs gun recoil. Think they are releasing an upgrade to add it. 😎👍

Hi. I think there have been some quality issues with some models. Maybe this is due to Tongde making them for Coolbank. Hopefully things will improve when they have their own facilities. But I think you can get better spec tanks for around the same price, just not British ones. If you can afford twice the price, go for the Haya Centurion.
Why do ALL Rc tank reviews play really OTT bombastic background music ?
It is a bit cliche I suppose. But it does work. Next time I will put use some ABBA track

I think , mostly, people probably want to hear the sound system and , also , the sound the gearboxes make with the sound system turned off. That gives you some idea how well they are running, if they're running smoothly or are straining ect.
