- Our lives are constantly bombarded with information and some things require immediate decisions. Wouldn’t it be helpful if we could know the difference between what is true and what is false? We will be exploring some keys to making that determination through our Truth and Lies study in 2 Peter. This weekend we will look at the truth about fruitfulness and see that God wants to bear fruit in our lives and what that really means.
God wants to transform us to be more like him and i have everything i need in Jesus 2 Peter 1-12

The fact that no one has commented on this TRUTH shows you where the church is. I love this. This message is powerful.
If I may I want to say this. Versus 5-8 was placed in my heart during a time when I really didn't understand where I was going. I just know where I was heading was not going to lead me anywhere but in bondage, hurt and insane.This was about 8 yrs ago. I would randomly go read only those three versus. Two weeks ago I recieved understanding from the Holy Spirit telling me to go read the whole 1st chapter. Than I recieved my understanding. The instructions were clear. Faith( what are you in hope for when it comes to pleasing The Father, are you standing on what the word says are you over joyed to just know you are alive today by His grace and mercy. Do you get happy when you think on where you been vs. where your going. Virtue(Movement, Moral Rightness), Knowledge( When you start searching on what pleases him and who he is. He will never stop increasing this REMEMBER that) Self Control. ( you will began think before you react, listen, keep your mouth closed!) Perseverance (Struggle in purpose knowing that The Father has the final say), Godliness( Being those things that are pleasing to The Father read and seek knowledge pertaining to him), brotherly kindness (what are you doing for other's, do you treat other's the way you want to be treated) Love( We don't have to like to love.. ( The FATHER does not like everything we may happen to do but he is still shows us Mercy and Kindness and forgives us. This is what we have to do with others.) Love your message, just disheartening that more people have not truly recieved this word..

Daniel Fusco I just want to say you’re amazing and you do you share the word of God through a lot of ways and I love you you are an inspiration in my life and I just want to say for everyone out there that’s worried about the coronavirus focus on God more because he is the one that gets the help he is the one that gives you strength he is the one that will make you stronger if you ask him into your heart today I I would love that but a lot of people email thank you and just to let you know my birthday is tomorrow

Is North Pointe Community Church from your denomination? It was a Nazarene church and they changed it awhile ago.
Great sermon.
Not to be picky, but regarding vv. 5-6, while Peter uses the compound word for knowledge in most other areas, in the virtue list (24:50) he simply uses γνῶσις, which I think implies comprehension/intellectual knowledge, rather than experiential knowledge. You're correct in every other use (i.e. discovery or "ah-ha", relational, kind of knowledge) but in the virtue list he changes. The only reason I could see Peter changing from the compound word to this one is of he's speaking of comprehension type knowledge e.g. doctrinal knowledge etc...
Would love to hear your thoughts, though.

Jesus had long hair.
Bible 101 was a long time ago.(45 yrs) The Bible never changed, nor did the Godhead bodily. So how could God's will have been being done? The fruitfulness from the Spirit, being prevented from doing His job, isn't the working of the church. Its people making bad decisions that affect others lives, sinning by not being led by the Spirit of God and not asking God His will, not theirs.

Hoping and praying that you would someday think about cutting down your hair.
There's nothing wrong with his hair. He obviously likes it, if he didn't, he would have cut it. He doesn't have to change something about himself because you don't personally like it. That's not something to pray about. That is your will. Instead, pray that God's will is done for him (and his hair lol). This is all in love, but we can't go around projecting our personal opinions and preferences onto other people.
So, that is what you got from all this? He should cut his hair, why though? This has and continues to be a big problem in the church, legalism.
Is he pronouncing the word “knowledge” correctly? γνῶσιν,
The message is transformation, the fruits of the spirit “knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, mutual affection and love.
” You might be right about pronunciation regarding one word, I'm not a Greek scholar or know any Greek language, there's still a lot of words and names in the Bible I still can't pronounce. This is the first time I heard this brother I liked his message. So go out produce some fruite with love of course.
