I used to golf with my Dad. When lightning threatened he would always say "Hold up your one iron because even God can't hit a one iron".

I guess that I'm not the only one who experiences car trouble so often. My car is an old clunker.

I saw this happen in the night sky over north Hertfordshire, UK, about twenty years ago. Big flash turning night into day. Meteor came down in a westerly direction. No idea where it landed?

Look at the west south west side that meets Minnesota, and Three hundred miles north. See an old Meatierite impact Crater and just below is another Meatierite impact Crater. I called them Martha and Louise Sondrol.

1971 or 72, watched a huge fireball come down north of grand meadow mn. I thought it was a plane crashing. Looked like it would've landed close to the Rochester airport. Never heard anyone else report it. Spectacular and green.

My question is why was it important to not touch the first meteorites but the other ones are picked up with hands?

Geof, are you planning to write a meteorite book classifying all your meteorite finds by locations with photos of your collection?

Thank you, Swamper! Well ... we're still friends with our producers and it has been talked about, so ... maybe one day.

Ok. I've got a stone total with 11 lbs . And someone told me it's not a meteorite . I had it tested via XRF and it showed a very high content of iridium, some iron and some copper.
I chopped it up on my wet saw into 11+ pieces...
It looks like a mesosiderite meteorite inside... i found it in a stream so it had been tumbled and weathered quite a bit . And the metals are all through the stone and highly visible.
I'm going to post some pictures on my channel.
If someone could hop over there and have a look see id be grateful for an opinion from someone who ACTUALLY knows what they're talking about.

I grew up with people who was born in the Elk River head waters, Oregon. Many people have disappeared on Salmom Mountain looking for the rock. I have been fortunate enough to have known people who lived there and had experiences with minors who lived there
