- "Where have I even stood besides the shore along Your ocean?" God longs for us to step inside the ocean and know the depths of it, not just look at it. He doesn't want us to just know about Him, but He longs for us to know Him truly. Knowing Him is eternal life and the path to eternal life is the narrow one. Joining in His suffering is knowing Him, and walking in His commands, which set you free, is loving Him. It is here that you are tending to your vineyard; it is here that you are fulfilling your design.

I plan on singing this for my church after Easter. This song has impacted my life in so many ways. Every time i even think of this song, it brings tears to my eyes. After reading the lyrics over and over again I finally realize the meaning of the song, what it means to ME. How is it that a god who is so beautiful and has made all things on this earth is patient enough to take time to help me through my trials and tribulations. Even after i have sinned time and time again, how is that someone who is so holy and so powerful can take the time to accept ME into His kingdom after my time on this earth. How is it that I am worthy even after I have messed up so many times, even though I am so young. I know for a fact that i will sin again and again, though it may be on accident. i would beg for His forgiveness and time after time He is loving enough to accept my apology and still save a place for me next to His throne. i love Him so much and I thank Him for all the glorious events He has place in my life. I hope to be one who shines the way He wants me to. I hope to be someone who is able to outstretch my hand and have others take my offer to join me in the Kingdom beside Him.

This is one of my favorite Christian songs and I have known all the words for a long time. I love singing and always been shy my whole life to show my talent. This year is almost over, and I am currently a Junior. This year, I got inspired to do it last minute by my parents, friends at school, and my online best friend. I did the auditions this past Monday since I chose to sing. I was so looking forward to doing it and was excited, until last week. I had allergies and it wasn't too bad until yesterday (Thursday) and my voice sounded worse than ever. I was praying and hoping for a miracle to have my voice back today (Friday) and unfortunately, that was only a fantasy. I sounded worse this morning and I couldn't speak or sing well like I normally do. I would of tried to go to school today, but if I did... : 1. I would of been there still sick and sounded very bad than my auditions I did on Monday. And 2. I would've called it quits, but I would of been very upset seeing everyone doing their talents, and me just watching, not being able to sing. So, for that reason, I stayed home all day today and I felt/feel bad I couldn't sing this song because I feel like I let the people who inspired me to do it down. ;-;
However . . . I still got my whole Senior year to do this song, and I WILL consider trying again, and do the song I started and wanted to do today. And hopefully, I won't get sick again around this time. :/ But yeah, just wanted to share this story to you. -Carrie 1999
