39:40 The book Court is referring to is Jack Faragasso's book - Mastering Drawing the Human Figure From Life, Memory, Imagination with Special Section on Drapery (2004, Stargarden Press)
Thanks Court. Really appreciate your time and dedication of explaining this in a clear and simple way that making it fun to explore. I do not feel so intimidated with this complex abstract method now.
Hi Court, thank you for the great videos. I have subscribed to your Proko caricature classes. One question, when drawing what paper do you recommend (sketching and finished work)? Cheers, Jon
Thanks Jon. For sketching with pencils or pens, any paper will do. Cheap copy or printer paper is great. For charcoal pencil sketches and renderings, use smooth newsprint. It's not archival and will turn yellow and brittle, but it takes the charcoal beautifully.
👌 awesome. Love this. Great technique. It feels good when u do a great likeness and then it pops out better after the abstraction. Takes alot of practice. But worth it. Don't do reilley method until your perfect caricature i got it 😙

Will you consider making caricature of plants or animals in the future ?
Thanks for the suggestion. I sort of did a caricature of a plant in this video: ruclips.net/video/xPv5ptHE5iU/видео.html
Haha, it's Court... In Spaaaaaaace! Nice video dude.
Im thinking that this is going to turn out. I was honestly seeing it, but the more you draw the more it really is following the reference phot.
