First GT500 pulls on the Upgraded Tr6060 | DIY Black Roof Wrap

- Decided to update the wrap on the GT500s roof, and test out the new transmission. Turns out she's making a bit too much power for street tires and a dig, but it was a fun ride regardless I wanted to take you guys along for! Enjoy!
The roof wrap looks night and day, I just finished my clutch replacement on my 07 GT500 same clutch you have, only problem is I have the same problem as my others in the forums when going in reverse it grinds so I have to put it in 4th then reverse for it to work, they say it’s because the clutches are not fully disengaging or the pilot bearing being to tight, not a big deal just glad I got the job done on this 3 day weekend since I daily the car, thank you for the videos they really helped when I did mine.
Every manual car I've owned, I always go 4th to reverse. No synchro on reverse, and putting it in a forward gear stops the gearset from spinning.
Yeah, mine used to grind / be a pain to out in reverse. The people are wrong. It is the synchros. When I rebuilt the trans, the reverse synchro was absolutely smoked. The new carbon hybrid ones fixed it and it goes in smooth as butter now
@@AllThingsBoost I didn't know reverse in the TR6060 had a synchro...don't know how I missed that in your video. Most transmissions don't.
@@Twobarpsi gotcha, did not know most didn't, but yeah, in the tr6060 anyway, they absolutely do and mine were not good. Ever since the rebuild reverse has been as easy as any other gear to get into
So good to see her back on the road! Definitely making power! I was watching how easily you were shifting. Do you get ANY sideways freeplay in your shifter? On my MGW Gen 1 I do get some, but it feels "right", and way better than stock. The roof wrap looks so good now, like a mirror! It's definitely a struggle working with it. I tinted my windows, on my 95 GT, and no way would I do that again! I'll leave it to the pros. Intercooler looks interesting. Do you have an upgraded alternator? I can't remember. That HE pump will definitely be taxing your charging system. Looking forward to your track day!

Yeah, I have about 1/4" of side to side play in the shifter still, but I think that's just inherent to the transmission design at this point.
I have a PA Performance 200 amp alternator and their wire upgrade kit to support it already in the car.
Yeah. I'm leaving the window tint to the pros for sure.

Good morning, could you help me tell me which clutch kit I should buy for my 2008 GT500. I changed it a year ago but in first gear and in reverse the car makes vibrations and I want to install a new kit and I don't know which one. Thank you very much, give him a hug 🤗
