    Why is everyone concerned that He is an Indian?( well other than the fact he was born in India). Why does his nationality affect who he his? Focus on what he can do or what he could to change the world.

      Because after 200 years of British rule, Indians have gone through self confidence issues. These past 10 years have been pivotal for Indians to realize that they are good and can achieve things at a global level

      ***** The thing is, none of these new features would even be possible if the computers didnt scan your info. So it becomes a question if you trust your data in their hands, or if you don't. Personally, I trust them with the data I give them. I'm aware that some of it is used to show me ads but for me it's a worthwhile trade. It would be impossible for most of the new features to be possible if they didnt scan your usage.

    • @RommyErdian
      @RommyErdian 9 лет назад +18

      ***** His company tries to make people in rural area get Internet coverage and trying even more on improving these goal. And that is a good thing that so far none of any company would even try because they only thinking about profits all the time. And there are also other thing they do like making smartphones more cheaper for people to afford. If I trade my information for their use on advertising for making money, I thought it would be fair. Why rich people mostly hate Google?

Even if the altruism is not exactly there, it sure feels good and that provides a nice temper to my own personal hype on their products.

    • @TheSidBatra
      @TheSidBatra 9 лет назад +78

      Stephen Paul Deita nahh, it started when india's smartest outsmarted and outworked america's smartest. that's not to undermine america's entrepeneurs - america has far more visionaries and successful business owners than india. But when taken collectively, there are more capable, high ranking, hard-working indians in the tech space (it seems) than there are americans, or most any other nationality for that matter.

      ***** Because Google has never been about putting anyone on the spotlight. Larry Page if he really wanted could be a Bill Gates if he wanted to, but he doesn't care as long as his company meets its goals.
      Your ridiculously racist attitude is dissatisfying though. It's no secret that Indians make up a lot of the biggest technical companies in the world, and they do deserve some credit. Steve Jobs never did anything for Apple, he's just a good marketer. It's always the people under him that have actually created and designed the products. Same with Tim Cook now.

    Much respect to Google. I hope they stick with these principles. I don't think the net neutrality fight is over and they are a major player that can help keep the internet free and remain an 'equalizer.'

    An iPhone might be a neat gadget, but it's not realistic to think that every single African and South American is going to walk around with an iPhone in his pocket. It's not going to happen and it's not one of Apple's goals either. This is where Google steps in and it's far more interesting to hear about advancements in the developing world, than that the latest iPhone is 1mm thinner than the previous model or that Safari is now 20% faster than Firefox.

    in my computer science class. One of the main topics is how google never really finishes anything and i kinda see its true they're doing so much at the same time and its not a bad thing but in the future its going to hurt them. they should focus on one thing and announce it when its fully or close to done. project ara, google glass, chrome os. in class we went into details and noticed more and more things google needs to finish. If android is to truly flourish they should make like ubuntu, same on all devices but fully customizable with launcher and themes.
