This was by far the clearest rules overview of this game. I have watched 6 different videos and did not grasp the scoring until your description. I also appreciated the strategy overview. Really helped me grasp the game well and set me up well for first play.
I've yet to play Meadow, and I'd choose Evergreen over Living Forest. I kind of like Living Forest, but I haven't yet played in real life with everyone being experienced with the game, and you need that one game to have some idea of how to plan and how not to throw the game to someone else. I have played LF on BoardGameArena with experienced players, and the design is better that way, with the automated counting of five types of symbols being a big plus - but the game still bugs me somehow. -WEM
1. You probably don't *need* any new games. 2. Photosynthesis plays nothing like Evergreen. The two designs share a "sun gives you points" mechanism, but beyond that...not much. Glad the video was helpful, Sue, and good luck! -WEM
Dual layered anything is wonderful to behold.
Absolutely wonderful overview. Basically enough to go ahead and start playing. Thank you
You're welcome! -WEM
If you have to choose between this and Meadow or Living Forest, which one would you buy?

Thanks, then still need to compare Meadow and Evergreen, I like a game that I can keep in my collection
Thanks Eric!
Do I need this if I have photosynthesis?

That is not a very good insert 😳
Not a pleasant surprise when I unboxed it yesterday. Great idea but a terrible execution.
