Michael Lewis' first book, Liar's Poker, about working on Wall Street in the ‘80s, turned him into a literary icon. When he went into the studio to record a new audiobook version of Liar's Poker, he thought a lot about how much Wall Street has (or hasn't) changed. He also thought about his own evolution as a writer. Those musings became a new ‪@PushkinPods‬ podcast series called Other People's Money, which is being released as a companion to Liar's Poker. In this celebration of two of the greatest non-fiction storytellers of our time, Lewis, whose other books include Moneyball and The Big Short, is joined by Ira Glass, creator and host of public radio’s ‪@officialtal‬ to discuss their award-winning bodies of work and how they learned to stop imitating others and write like themselves.

lol. I was listening to this in the background not watching. I found it searching for Michael Lewis. So i didn't read the title. 10:46 is the moment went "holy shit is that Ira Glass?" It totally didn't register until that sentence and all of a sudden i had "This American Life vibes." lol it only took 10 minutes.

Explanations of how paint works to Rubens, or Titian, or da Vinci, that seems like a good idea, to contribute alternative points of view, in a House of Mirrors.

Little kids reflect their parents and gradually extend to their Peer Group, we grow to fit into the surrounding Culture, which is why Philosophy and Psychology have adopted the Socratic Method qa cause-effect expansion of content into context that is the functional phenomenon of The Mirror Test of Self Re-cognition. The full Cultural Conception of the entirety of Self and continuous review of our personal self-defining illusion-delusion is "who you are", temporarily.
In Principle, life is a continuous process of "putting things in perspective" of resonance memory associations, basically, Quantum Chemistry Wave-packaging bonding and proportioning holistically.
So "Know your Self" research and reiterate a general Conception of real-time relative-timing sum-of-all-histories here-now-forever in your own personal, doing the best you can with what is available.., is the Athenian's mottoes of "To your own self be True" and Societal Democratic Governance.
