We really need the younger generation to listen to music like this instead of all the bullshit thats out there these days that they think is music. This is real men that have real talent. I bought this album when I was 15 years old. My Mom loved Too Much Heaven. Our record player was my Grandmothers and it was huge and say in the living room. So we all got to know each others music. My Mom sung in a big band so it was pretty cool hearing her sing song with these guys and all my favorites. Great times!! Once I flipped over her Dean Martin album and saw the Gibbs gave him a song too. It's called Sweetheart and it's on a Dean Martin album. I've seen it on RUclips!! That was a great discovery during family time!!
I totally agree. Spirits Having Flown was such a phenomenal album - every song on the album was an absolute gem. The problem is, that much falsetto on one album can mean you fail to truly appreciate each song in of itself, so it's only when you pull the album apart and listen to each song in its own time that you _truly_ appreciate each, and the masterpiece that is the album. Whoever they were they were outta sight! When I first saw them my dad and I were speechless! They were great! Imagine how hard it would've been to avoid becoming bogged down in one genre!

On the flip side of their mega-hit 'Too Much Heaven', there was this little gem called 'Rest Your Love On Me' ..sung so beautifully by Barry! The country singer, Conway Twitty, recorded it a couple years later (in 1981 I believe) and landed a No. 1 hit with it!..but in my opinion Barry sang it better!..and let's not forget who wrote it..and that would be..Barry Gibb! ..also Mo had a lovely song 'Hold Her In Your Hand' which imo could still hold its own with any country music out there today!..when you think of all the different genres of music these guys produced it's pretty mind-staggering!!!
