The OG Fireflexes would drop really fast in compression, but would be fine for a long time and are seen as fairly durable bats. Maybe the Tantrums are using some of that tech at a slightly higher compression?
@@TheBPHero oh definitely, it's just baseless speculation, lol! But they do have a track record of making durable bats that have precipitous compression drops right out the wrapper.
Giving a 7 on durability for a bat that won’t hold compression is absolutely wild to me. I’d give it a max 4. I understand not everywhere tests but let’s just say you swing your tantrum everywhere that doesn’t test but you’ll have to swing something different or have another one in your bag specific for testing. That’s extremely dumb
I was torn on that, honestly. If I felt like the fact that it failed compression effected more people then I could easily give it a way lower score. I debated that variable pretty hard. If we knew there were failing AND breaking quickly, a lower score would have been a no brainer. I do appreciate your feedback as I’m kind of dialing what you guys want to see for this series.
i am a L/S guy the past 3 yrs so I am biased but the big drop in compression would worry me just for longevity purposes...I actually still am a IronMan 1.0 user but look forward to gaming the 2.0 once my first versions break...some guy is selling the 1.0s for $450+ on ebay and I offered him mid 3s and he didn't bite...oh well, his loss
my EL Tantrum is nowhere near as good as my Pass Em Out or Hartling... I think the EL version of the Tantrum was a dud compared to the other models. It's not horrible but everything else I've hit this year is hotter...
Do you think these new tantrum series bats are as hot as the 220 fireflex era. I've been swinging an easton goat for years (since bought new in 2020) with 1000's of swings and its still just straight gas.
I’d like to say it’d get close. But even if performance wise it did, the 220 would still prevail because or a larger sweetspot and more forgiving barrel.
Could you add a category for distance? Some bats just seem to give better distance.
Keep up the great reviews!
I could consider some sort of distance variable for the endloaded bats for sure. Maybe do control for balanced ones and distance for endload?

No clue, tbh. I’m not going to even try and guess and get rumors started lol

How are the new line LS bats doing as far as seams and paint chips compare to the older ones?
Still a thing, but does seem to be a bit less prone to it. Could also be from us being more proactive to preventing it too….?

Swing Louisville. That Ironman is so dumb. It tested at 270 and still is ⛽️
They're definitely a ton of fun!
What is the name of that screen y’all use? Isn’t it a pop up screen?
