jj moto.... Yes, this KW has a Detroit 8-92 in it.... some of the others were running 6-92's, like the ones that past him coming out of turn 4, just before he pulled off the track. In regards to running "super singles" on the rears, No.. they do Not, duals only.
@@troyberdahl5922... Thank you for your response, Troy. I questioned it because the 8-92T has a very distinct, low end (sonicly speaking) that the 8-71/8-71T does not possess. What part of the country do you race?... It's seems nearly impossible to find any Recent coverage of any oval Truck races. How have you been doing with it? Any changes in your set-up since the race being covered with this video? I'm retired, but hold a 4 year degree in Diesel Engine Design & Theory, specializing in 2 cycle (Clarke) and three of those years, I was tutored directly under P. Nicholas.. one of the lead engineers who was directly responsible for the R&D of the very first 2 cycle GM Diesel prototype engine (a 4-71). I graduated in 1967. After I returned from my last tour (3) in VN, he presented me with a nicely framed 8X10" black & white photo of himself, "Boss" Kettering & one other engineer, taken immediately after the very first fire-up of the 4-71 prototype, taken Sept.1937, and which is hanging directly above my computer monitor, here in my office. I worked with DD in the early 70's as a consultant on the Series 92 and some "experimental" changes. Thanks again for your response.
His right front tire let go and his rear tires needed to be one size bigger but that diesel sounded good. I love seeing these races at Highland Rim race way in TN.
one of the best video's on youtube, thanks for sharing, please keep posting these kinds of videos
Way more fun and I retesting to watch than nascar !

That was quite a while ago in the old GATR Series.
2 stroke Detroit? Also looks like as the race went on he developed a bit of push. Do any drives run the single fatty tires in the rear?

@@Romans--bo7br This KW has a 8V71.
@@troyberdahl5922.... Out of curiosity, what led you to that deduction, sir?
@@Romans--bo7br I possess and built the truck. This particular race its driven by my sixteen year old son, who races it to this day.

Why does NASCAR not sanction this??? This would be so much fun to watch!!
+getdusty1 And I ask agaIn, "Why does NASCAR not sanction this??? This would be so much fun to watch!!"
I think you're right! Seems to me like NASCAR would at least consider initiating a BIG RIG racing division.
Talk about having to upgrade the barrier walls and safety catch fence. lol
It DESTROYS the tracks !!! Awesome too watch.. mucccccccch better on dirt running like a sprint car into the corners...
@@getdusty1 one word: EGO!!!
This was awesome post more plz ! ! !
guessing that these races are not long enough just so Pit stops may be required, cant imagine changing the tires on these big trucks....
how do those recap tires do on the track
Should go a little wider on the straights so you can put your foot down more on the corners
I think this is the first white racing line I've ever seen. "We don't lay rubber here, we sweep soot"
His right front tire let go and his rear tires needed to be one size bigger but that diesel sounded good. I love seeing these races at Highland Rim race way in TN.
next time would like to see them do this with trailers attached to their trucks, Empty of course......LOL
Kinda hate to be working in the starters stands when these go by with all that smoke coming out of their stacks...LOL
How fast can you push it on straight line? 100 mph?
They've been known to go in excess of 125
So awesome 10 tons of joy
1/2 mile bullring?
erich this is funnier than given credit for.
She pushing a bit coming out of the corners ?
Still running the Detroit
Is that the big track?
It's the NASCAR Track, north of Vegas, at the Motor complex, where the NHRA Drag Strip is.
She needs a touch more gear it sounds like
Go yellow KENWORTH GO!
Cool, but to slow for me to drive one and enjoy it.
Good job but need to get on the fuel sooner in the corners
😅😅😅 Thats the surest way to keep the right front cool. I'd also suggest going faster on the straights and driving in deeper.
@@troyberdahl5922 That's What She Said ❤
Less gear
