I compared these two speakers with an emphasis on sound quality and found the Defender to be the clear winner with better bass, mids and highs. The one thing I liked better about the Turtlebox was the top handle. I solved this by ordering a nylon webbing and paracord grab handle from Amazon and attaching it across the top with zip ties. Works great!
