What makes me excited is Johor Bahru - Gemas/KL electric train services would be launched before RTS operation & it will be connected with JB RTS station
TQ idea from former PM Najib Razak...orginal plan HSR complete FY2027 /RTS FY2024 complete..but "bangang" by pakatan Harapan..stop the project...the RTS delay and HSR stop until today

@@aldenisme 2026 is the year the new ETS sets will come in. Not the year of the project's completion. The date of completion for EDTP is April 2025. However, ETS services will only likely commence in 2026 as the new trains will only arrive by that year. In the meantime, it is likely the new stations will be run by the current services until ETS starts operating.
Usually the governments throw out tender for lowest bidder, and China will usually under bid everyone else. Local firms are not able to compete against China in terms of price

Yea, can't wait for the ETS between JB Sentral and Gemas to be completed. I tried taking the train to KL recently and needed the whole day to travel.

Btw any idea when ETS electric double track railway upgrade between JB and Gemas is completing?
Currently over 90% completed and estimated to be completed by April 2026
