- In this video I bought a super clean 4Runner 4th Gen that has been barely driven since 2021. I was able to get the car at a great deal with only 107,000 Miles as a 2008. The car needs a little bit of work, but I look forward to putting upgrades, mods, and more on the vehicle.

Awesome! I’ll be keeping an eye on your video series about upgrading the new 4Runner. This year, I was lucky enough to find and buy a 2009 SR5 in perfect condition. I live in Baja California, Mexico, and a couple of folks from the U.S. who were coming down from Oregon sold it because they bought a Jeep. I did some research and found out that 2009 was the year when the fewest 4Runners were sold in history-thanks to the big recession. Only 19k units were released worldwide, and even fewer were SR5s from that year. Mine is still 100% stock, so I’ll definitely be looking forward to everything you do to yours so I can try to replicate it too! :D

My wife has this exact model, 2008 black SR5 2wd, we built it more like a street car rather than lifting it and all that, put new stock suspension on it and highway tires, took off the roof rack and put new headlights taillights in it. It's at 297k and rides like a brand new car, it also gets like 24 mpg everywhere, 2wd 4th gens r seriously underrated. Sure it isn't 4wd but we've never got it stuck and we've taken it a lot of places that would look like you need 4wd. It's just such a well balanced truck and the traction control is very good for it's age. I think you should do a similar setup, bc you've already got the lifted one, maybe make this one a daily street style 4runner, there's not many people who do that.

I have 2007 4runner 2wd, (107,000 mi.), inherited from my wife when I bought her a Rav4 Adventure model which is definitely a step down . I'm open for another 4runner 4wd if a deal presents itself but I'm quite satisfied with my current 4runner . It's a solid driver and very few times do I ever need a 4wd.
Wild that the seller paid $800 for a $150 stereo. Anyways, nice whip!

Thanks for sharing! It seems like a very good deal for the truck you got! I would not invest into Lyft and other off-road type of modifications as most people who are looking to offload their forerunner are looking for 4 x 4

Great purchase!! Owned a 3rd Gen for over 15 yrs. Now I have a 2015 4RUNNER along with my daily which is a 2014 Camry SE that I really like. Also had an 05 Tundra Access Cab prerunner build with solo motorsports long travel kit, King coilovers, Deaver springs and really miss it so might buy another one to play with!!
