    Very ingenious way to be able to do 99% of fabrication in the shop...very good !

      We used to do the cutting in the field but is wasn't as fast. Plus it comes out a bit nicer when you can get them precise at the shop. Installation goes a little quicker too.

    Curious about the blocks you use to shim out your walls
    Are they uniform thickness and you use the bed of hot glue to bring them out to plumb? Or was this just a pretty true surface in this case
    Also curious about the blocks hot glued to corian for clamping purposes
    Is that a special glue/gun?
    I think Id be worried my gun would dump super hot glue and damage corian

      The shims are different thickness to get the wall plumb. Some people don't plumb the wall like that so it's not super critical if you don't have shims.
      The hot glue will not hurt the Corian at all. Don't worry. The hot glue will come right off with acetone.

    Great video, how do you stick and unstick the template to the drywall?

    What are you using as a backer for these walls? do you use or need to use redguard or a waterproofer?

      Green board. You can use cement board as well.

    Do you cut out your Solid Surface on a Cnc? If so what speeds and feed rate? What size bit and what kind? Thanks

    • @AndyGraves
      @AndyGraves  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, I use a CNC to cut the shapes, edges and splashes. We cut at 18,000 RPM, 200 IPM with a 1/4" upcut, spiral, single flute bit. Use a Belin or Onsrud.

    I was wondering what material that is you are using for the template? Thank you

    • @AndyGraves
      @AndyGraves  4 года назад +2

      That material is called door skin. You can get it at home depot. Cut it to 2" - 3" wide.

      Andy Graves Do you have the sku# (or upc code) on those door skin strips? I cant find them at home depot online

      I wasn’t able to find them anywhere. Home Depot had some 1/4 plywood is all I could find.

    What kind of drywall do I need to use?

    You said below you are using staples but I'm seeing a hot glue gun. Do you use both ?

    • @AndyGraves
      @AndyGraves  Год назад

      I used a staple to hold the wood strips to the wall. And I use hot glue to glue the strips to each other.
