Cool - I've got a similar setup and recently started going USB from Yamaha mixer direct to Ableton, skipping the audio interface... Works pretty good with some quirks
@@its_trusound Nice! and I've actually changed my setup again - I got the Tascam Model 12 - and that allows TRUE multi-channel audio interface into Ableton (where I can choose any of the 12 audio inputs (or 6 stereo inputs) from the Tascam mixer board in each ableton channel... it was a game changer for me!
Absolutely! If your laptop accepts 1/8 to 1/8 as an input source or if you have another interface, This can be applied in the same way. My example is particular to my set up.
@@its_trusound thanks for the reply! Im new to this so forgive my questions.. would I be doing 3.5 to 3.5 on the input on the ko2? Or connecting into the output on the ko2?? I was low key hoping to connect via koala on iPhone and record into koala. But that doesn’t seem to work
Anything is possible nowadays with these new connections between devices, I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with Koala but perhaps Ableton Note or GarageBand may also offer the same function to record in? I'll be sure to jump back if I come up with anything@@portrasoft
