it is approximately 18 km from ranchi.
its route from ranchi is like this.
Ranchi kantatoli------Buti more-----Mesra
more----vikash vidyalay----ring road---right turn
to rukka dam---5 km .aprox.
near to dam there is sakhuwa jungle where we can plan for picnic. There is a water filtration plant also.
Rukka dam is a part of Getalsud Dam.
