We would never be, what they wanted us to be. We refuse to say, We refuse to say, what they want us to say. Never wanted to reject them. They rejected we became for what we are. Some still long a front, some waste come to an end. We made this pack for life, await we shall defend. Iron destiny!
One of Kreator's best songs on the lyrics front is Love Us Or Hate Us,from their 1989 album, Extreme Aggression. The opening lyrics are "DON'T TRY TO TELL US WHAT IS RIGHT FOR US,WE DON'T GIVE A FUCK ANYWAY"
It's always aggravating that songs like this get left off of some versions. This is as good as anything on the album. Wish I would've had it as part of the album from the beginning.
Do you remember where these came from? Do you recall how these started long ago? Do you still believe how did you goes straight? Where you be among the last one to remain? Iron destiny, We would never be, what they wanted us to be. We refuse to say, We refuse to say, what they want us to say. Never wanted to reject them. They rejected we became for what we are. We refuse to say, We refuse to say, what they want us to say. These is what we stand for, something you can not kill. We are the counter-culture, and we are growing still. These is what we stand for, still believe and always will. My lens are radical My lens are radical Iron destiny, We would never be, what they wanted us to be. We refuse to say, We refuse to say, what they want us to say. I would never believe in the lies! I would never believe in the lies!
And I would add : some bonuses of Japanese versions are f'n awesome ! For example : in the album "Soundtrack To Your Escape" by In Flames, there's one song called "Watch Them Feed" only on Japanese CD and this song is wonderful !
ASuiXel hmm,' new' Slayer, 100% agree. But, the real Slayer with Lombardo and Hanneman, the competition is pretty tight. Both Kreator and Slayer are totally awesome.
metalmoshingmad777 Ok, first of all I'm not from Germany. (So there's no "your thrash metal" scenario). Next thing I wanna focus on is Teutonic Thrash Metal was not influenced by American Thrash Scene, 'The Big Four' in USA started in early 80's and so did German Thrash Metal bands like Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, Tankard. So, they were pretty distinct and pretty unique by nature (Just enough distinct like American Death Metal and Scandinavian Death Metal scenes). So claiming that USA invented Thrash Metal is kind of idiotic, and doesn't make sense at all. Also, no one owns any music genre, it's everyone's to play.
metalmoshingmad777 If you wanna give credit for creation of Thrash Metal genre in particular give that to the NWOBHM bands. Most of the Thrash Metal bands were influenced by those bands. And, no, "Big 4" had nothing to do with the German scene. You can verify that. Teutonic Thrash Metal was always unique, anyone having a good ear for music can say that ONLY by listening to their music. It's not a competition about who invented what, I just want to say German Thrash Metal sounds so much better and so much alive than American Thrash Metal (particularly nowadays). It's like where German bands have gained their maturity over time, the bands from USA are just repeating things from 80's and 90's or have sold out. And, a very good day to you too. :)
This song would've been the best on the album, how come Japan gets exclusive tracks? I mean I know that CD's are more expensive there, but they should at least give us the option to fuckin buy a CD version with the track even if it's more expensive.. ffs.. yeah my car radio has neither USB nor Bluetooth, I am salty :(
I think the song is about someone who's different than the other people, and for that he/she has been rejected from society. If this is true, I can really relate to this song!
Sound a bit like the beginning of Welcome to the Jungle. Still good as always even if some riffs seems to be recycled by slowing them down, it's a bonus track after all.
So one of my friends was raving about this band and how awesome they were. I find this song. An interesting blend of Bay Area thrash and some NWOBHM. It's basically good, but for some reason, I just don't particularly like it. I think it's the riffing. It just seems a bit... meh. I dunno. Maybe it just needs to grow on me.
Listen to the whole Phantom Antichrist album. You won't regret it. Or if you're into something heavier, go for their 1986 classic Pleasure to Kill (whole album).
volimNestea well, i took a listen to some other stuff and the verdict is ... also meh. It's fairly generic speed-and-brutality-over-everything-else Slayer-inspired thrash. Not really my thing. I prefer a good mix of speed, brutality and memorable riffage. Exhibit A: Electric Rattlesnake by Overkill
x1StapleGun Well, you have a right to not like it of course, but I'm telling you, Phantom Antichrist a fucking perfect album, certainly not generic. And it has way more epic and memorable riffs on it than either Exodus' The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A or Overkill's Ironbound. You're probably right though. It needs to grow on you. It might be hard for you to get into, but once you do... Man do you have a band to listen to!
volimNestea yeah. A fair amount of extreme metal needed to grow on me a bit. Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse, for example. Or just Meshuggah in general. But I think what most bands perceive to be "proper" thrash nowadays is just a bit generic and not particularly inspiring, which means I'll probs never be truly accepted into the metal community. Case in point: I do not like Slayer. At all.
Remember though, this is a bonus track from one of their not best albums. The real album is better. The album that got me into them (I love them now) was Enemy of God. SO goood
uh WRONG, the record companies don't care where they get them from, especially US/UK companies. The JP companies yes, & NO there are NOT made any better. its Funny cause 13 people gave you thumbs up also believe what they are told, How do i know? EASY I have many CD's from Japan Metal exports, & even JP CD's back in the day it worked But nowadays people can just get it off line, WHY pay more for a CD with 1 extra song?
6666, we are the literature warriors we fight with iron fist to crush the beast head into the lungs of hell by the electric chair which bring them fade to black for good in eternity inside the tornado of souls and think tank missiles
One of the best Thrash metal bands EVER....
forever !!!
Maybe after Slayer
KREATOR ARE AMONGST THRASH ELITE \~/
kreator and Sodom >big 4
Despite all the stupid arguments of which band is better than which, this band is great however you want to look at it. Cheers.
Each album is better than previous.
We would never be, what they wanted us to be.
We refuse to say,
We refuse to say, what they want us to say.
Never wanted to reject them.
They rejected we became for what we are.
Some still long a front, some waste come to an end.

Iron destiny!
Kreator is hands down the best band when it comes to lyrics
And the worst band when it comes to vocals .
k
Thank you for pointing of the lyrics. Your a good man.
You either have very low standards, have not read all of Kreator's lyrics, or have not been exposed/read lyrics by more more seasoned bands.
why did kretor never sing this on any if their live shows? such an amazing one .. 2020 still anyone with me?
I mean they can't possibly do every single track. I'm still waiting for them to do Death Becomes my Light XD.
Still listening in 2022

Cool Profile pic
Better than any american thrash metal band (Excluding Slayer), IMO.
.. including Slayer IMO
ASuiXel hmm,' new' Slayer, 100% agree. But, the real Slayer with Lombardo and Hanneman, the competition is pretty tight. Both Kreator and Slayer are totally awesome.
Dont dog on American thrash metal friend. Cause if it weren't for us, you're thrash metal would not exist.

Le Scheers This is the most obvious, but i can't shake the feeling that it is about much, much more...
This song is about Us, about Metal Heads. I think it's great! Both lyrics and music. \m/
Super!!!
Kann ich nur bestätigen......Macht das Leben interessant.....
This would be instead Mantra Mars.
thx for that!
Sound a bit like the beginning of Welcome to the Jungle. Still good as always even if some riffs seems to be recycled by slowing them down, it's a bonus track after all.

This song is about metalheads?
ohh yeah soooo pretty
Sounds even better at 0.75% playback speed.
What's up with the Japanese only getting the bonus tracks? This happened with the new LOG too.
Which is the most epic band
Kreator or Death?
Kreator
Both are amazing but I gotta give it to Kreator.
I don't understand why it has been deleted from Spotify.
It hurts:(
