IF YOUR CALCULATOR WILL NOT SHOW UP ON DEVICE EXPLORER: they now have two versions of ti connect software. Now even if you have a TI 84, you will need to download the software for TI Connect CE. this should fix your problem. All the steps from there are the same except you need to press a little icon with a arrow and a calculator for it to work on there. hope this helps you all :)

Hey, if you still need help, you might have uninstalled your OS (operating system), download the latest OS from the TI website and just install it back into the calculator using the TI Connect CE again, takes like 3 mins : )

1. There are two versions of Mac TI Connect software (CE edition and regular)-- make sure you have the right one. 2. Try a different plug or plugging in fresh and turning on/off calculator. If all else fails it could be the version of your OS isn't playing nice with the TI software. In the past certain OS versions have been finicky with it. In that case, try mom/dad's computer?
Some older operating systems may have compatibility issues with TI Connect software. Be sure you have the right version of TI Connect for your calculator (there are a few) and if possible try installing from another computer.

You should be able to reset it by using a pin and pushing button on the back.Also your batteries might be dead or low.

Try to find another prime factorization program at TI CALC.org. There are so many with some effort you can find something that will work.

Most Non-mac computers run on Windows (it's an operating system not just a computer brand)

If that is your OS you may be out of luck. Software is only avail for Windows / Mac.

Make sure your calculator is plugged in completely. No metal should be showing, like at all, where you plug the cord into the calculator

do they have you clear your RAM before the ACT though? the programs go away when you clear your ram but i haven't taken the ACT yet so i am not sure.
mine didn't ask to clear my RAM, but every test proctor is different

the plug is very weird you need to push it in more.
You must download the TI Connect CE program :) not the TI Connect
It might be because the cable youre using to connect your TI 84 only passes power and not data. Try another cable.
