      +Armed Society Agreed. By talking trash and not giving his opponents respect he's making himself look like a prick and degrading himself which is a real shame cause his fighting style is beautiful to watch. Hope this reality check does him some good and he finally starts behaving like a man, and not like a little bitch.

    • @c0mplete
      @c0mplete 8 лет назад +14

      I think a lot of the trashtalking is just PR for the fight though, aka to hype it up to get more viewers attention. Everyone gets attracted to drama and its just a way to make the audience think that they really are mad at each other and stuff like that. It's been used for hundreds of years. I don't think McGregor is that much of a prick.

      +Viktor Karlsson People are fickle morons. Like any guy can go undefeated in UFC while going up 25lbs past his division.

    • @ThaLedExpert
      @ThaLedExpert 8 лет назад +1

      +Viktor Karlsson Hey dude, dont talk about his weight class, when he was the one that was telling that he could fight in any weight class. I really never cheered for McGregor, and to tell you the truth, there are a few people that like McGregor's way of fighting and cheer for him authentically. Most people look up to him because of his confidence, style, trashtalking and quick domination in UFC. When you talk bad about others and you state unrealistic things, it's like you re gambling, so this time he lost the gamble, so you and the other Connor fans, as well as him, must accept the bad comments about him. Trashtalking carries a price. Sometime that would happen, he knew it as well, but you know, he doesnt care at all, because he got the millions in the end and will keep getting money.

    Nothing can beat hardwork... Unless you're 6'8", 250lbs and can dunk on everybody. Love this message, but let's be real, some people are born with physical advantages. Whether it be your body or your brain, take advantage of that situation

      Yeah but if you get a lazy guy who’s 6’8 and 250lbs and a guy whos 5’7 and 155lbs that works hard, I’m betting on the guy who’s 5’7 but yes some people are born with an adamant age and with hard work they can do things normal people cannot

      No the point was that you look at connor and you wouldn't say that,would you ever imagine a skinny bloke working construction in the middle of nowhere will ever get to the level of being an UFC Champion?
      He started training in his early 20s too while khabib and other light weights have been training some sort of mixed martial arts/wrestling since they were little kids and i mean for fk's sake the people who come to UFC have already excelled in the international level in other sports and some even have olympic medals.
      It doesn't take a genius to say in front of his face that dropping his plumber job to becoming an UFC Champion was an impossible dream,he overcame an obstacle which is impossible to even fathom about.
      He wasn't gifted with what 90% of the UFC fighters have,he came to the ring with just pure hardwork and dedication which is highly respectable.

    • @ttttot
      @ttttot 5 месяцев назад

      But also a short skinny guy could be really good at art or computers. Most individuals do have some form of talent, and it doesn't have to be a sport. Even Conor said in the interview about plumbing, "if you're into it, that's good, but it just wasn't for me"

      +upgrader99 through hard work and steroids lets be real here.steaks dont make you gain 25 pounds in less than 3 months and have no fat on you steroids do and for every gullable idiot saying hes not on steroids here is some medical science for you .the most genetically gifted athlete can only put on 2.2 pounds naturally because a compound in the body called cortisol wont let you gain muscle any faster .So tell me this how has conor gained all muscle in 3 months and 25 pounds and looks shredded .sorry but whatever answer your gonna say your wrong medical sciene proves that your wrong and conor is on steroids .

    • @Kanthide
      @Kanthide 8 лет назад +7

      +Blake Garvey 1.) He's not shredded right now he's built. Have you seen a lean shredded person before?
      2.) You really can't generalize how much weight a human can put on because everybody's body is different. Some people gain weight faster than other people and some people lose weight faster. If medical science was accurate doctors would be fit. Medicine is a money making industry they'll tell you whatever so you can feel better about yourself just so they can keep making money.

    I respect him more after watching this. I don't like how people are now ridiculing him because he lost a match. He is a fighter. Fighters lose every once in a while. We all get hyped by the idea of a fighter being invincible, and they feed the media that persona as it makes them money. But they know, and anyone involved in the sports knows: Anyone can lose on any given day. If you thought any win was impossible, you just bought into a fairytale.

His skill is second to none and the amazing thing is he never hides he's had so many opponents pull out against him yet he just keeps going and never has any time of. Its only been a few months since his last fight and other champions would have a year of before they step in the octagon again but hes back fighting in a few short months.

      Finally, I had to scroll so long to find a respectful comment. I know so much about Conor Mcgregors work ethic and it mind boggles me. The man is a champion because how he works. Genetics have nothing to do with it. MMA is a sport where genetics play no role in your accomplishments but only on how hard you work. And he's the greatest featherweight alive because of how hard he works.

This allows him to stay at lighter weight divisions while having an extremely superior striking advantage over the division, as evidenced by his "notorious" left hand. That's something that is clearly due to genetics and can't be obtained through "hard work"

    -Is a gene pool of fighting and natural power.

    • @ThatWhatIs393
      @ThatWhatIs393 4 года назад

      You have a point. Your body puts a frame on what you can and can't do. Someone who's short or has short legs for example may never become the worlds fastest sprinter, even if he works his ass off and trains every day. Not every body is made for being the number one in every dicipline.
      However, hard work and dedication are still necessary. If you think having a suited body for something is all it takes to become the best, you are mistaken.
      You have to think realistically on what you can be the best or at least very good at and for what that isn't possible or easy. While you might not become the best at everything you want, you can become very good at something others can only dream of.

    I get what he's trying to say, but it's simply not true. If I started playing chess when I was 5 and continued to play it hardcore until now (30), I'd never be able to become a grandmaster chess player. Some people are gifted at certain things. That's not to say that anyone at the top level didn't earn their spot, because you STILL have to be completely dedicated and sacrifice to get to the top, but top chess players all have pretty high IQs, which isn't like muscle where you can build it with training. Same with sprinting. I could've started training for track when I was 5 with complete dedication and giving up everything else, but I'd never be able to outrun Usain Bolt because I'm not genetically gifted as a sprinter. Same with weight lifting. I could get pretty strong if I dedicated myself, but I'd never be able to deadlift more than Eddie Hall because I don't have the genetics like these top strongmen do. Again, all of these people sacrificed and and suffered to get to the top. It's not like they just wake up and are suddenly the best, and for sure earned their status. Bottom line, though? Anyone can improve at anything they put time/effort into, but the best of the best are genetically gifted.

    • @davidfulcher1719
      @davidfulcher1719 5 лет назад

      I agree with you so so much. So much. But at the same time you still have to give those genetic freaks their due. Because how many other MORE gifted people never amounted to ANYTHING? Yeah brother they are gifted but they worked hard enough to get to a point where we are talking bout them. They didn't test on genetics and take it for granted. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS...in today's society and culture having celebrities and athletes almost BRAG about how hard they work does so so much. No one wants to work anymore. Thank you to all that consistently give credit for your success to the work you put in. As a father of 3....thank you.

If someone had the burning desire to be an NBA champion and trained all their life, even if they didn't have the body type, they would be born in their next life with a body more adequate to be an athlete. Some goals take many lifetimes to achieve. Like a Mozart or an Einstein, they developed those skills over many lives and then were born with the right disposition and the right environment to fulfill that desire of expressing those talents and achieving those goals.

    Love this dude and the way he inspires the generations to work hard. But I'm sorry talent is scientifically proven. Some individuals are simply more "in tune" or tapped into different aspects of their physical system or mental psyche than other which give them a natural advantage over those who are not. Left brain right brainn typa stuff.

    OF COURSE there is talent. For example, i play the drums, and overall i had to do comparably little training to play better and keep the time better than the other drummer i ended up playing with in my music school's band. Why was that? I have more talent than him, simple. I have a knack for playing drums, coordination of my limbs, staying on the beat. He, however, put in some crazy work later and became a drum teacher. That's where i agree again with the quote, hard work will outdo talent. Because that other drummer now plays better than me, even though i still have more talent.
    That's the way with many professions and sports. Some people who end up at the top don't necessarily have the most talent, but they did outwork others. But talent is real.

      +Scorch428 He isn't afraid to take chances. Yeah, he lost but he isn't going into a dark shell like Rousey Everyone loses sooner or later.

      Not really a fan of the trash talkers like him and Rousey. I respect the fighters that worry more about if their opponent is okay after their fight. That shows professionalism, sportsmanship, and the true character of a man. (or woman)

    Although he underestimated and was very arrogant towards Diaz,outside the court he seems to be very candid,nice person. I do like him in fact,he should just stop clowning for a moment because so many young people watch and follow him as an inspiration,other than that genuine man,I respect him!
