People keep buying it thinking this is the year it gets better, play it for a few weeks and say maybe next year. We all need to boycott the game and send the message we are not happy.
I'm someone whose played both from the early 00s. PES game play was miles ahead during the Ps2 years. Fifa always felt similar to one another. Fifa only got sales because of their licences. Anyone whose spent enough hours competing on both would know this. PES sales went down and so did the development of the game. For me always Konami created the best football games, anyone that's not a Gen z would know this. For me Fifa has been the same or somewhat similar since 2014. Since Ps4 was launched it hasn't been much different. One the reason I do buy Fifa is because 20/30 years time, those games will have a nostalgic feeling when you play them. Same thing I do with PES now during the hype of it from PES2 to 10.
I agree when I was growing up pes was much better they didn't have the licence for the name of players so eventually everyone move to fifa becuase it's more thrn a game it's the team you support so you need the names & authenticity
I’m one of the rare ones who’ve played since the first in 93. The titles that stand out the most over the years has been 07, 14 & the South Africa WC games. 16 was the last game on the old engine that actually valued manual defending as an art form, when you could defend just as defend just as good as shot could attack it was so rewarding. 19 drove me to the edge of insanity but somehow I had a lot of fun playing. 20 was a horrible experience, I couldn’t defend to save my life or create in attack & just when I started I get grips with it they released a patch completely changed the gameplay & I quit the 2 years. 23 had great gameplay & I hoped the would’ve built of that but they’ve changed the gameplay for the worse in the FC era. This years game is a head scratcher… I can’t quite put my finger on what’s off with the game. As much as I love this game you can’t deny its problems of inconsistent gameplay & scripting (or momentum that’s coded into the game from the older titles which can’t be fixed because the old devs who made it aren’t there anymore) which has been masked increasingly year after year by the addition of more animations. It’s so easy to see when you’ve been playing as long as I have. When those unusual animations start to happen & weird input responses start happening you know you’re about to get turned over. Hopefully one day we will get that perfect football we’ve been all crying out for
Pes 2010 was the last good Pes game. From there it went downhill and most Pes players moved to Fifa around 2013. Now EA has the monopoly and ruined it for everyone.

I’m stuck in the buying loop but I no longer buy the game at launch for $70+. I get it between Black Friday and Xmas for $25-29.99. At that price point I don’t buying it every year.

I do the same, you lose nothing by starting late. I have 10-12 UT teams all rated 88ish and I've got hundreds of pack that I didn't even open yet. The funny thing is, you can trade in the companion already from september, even if you didn't buy the actual game yet... Best is bidding 300 for regular gold players, then sell them for buy now price at 400-750. I do it with 30-100 players a day.
@SKAPaul it was. From 2002 to 2008 it was in its prime, because each year when you played it, it was different than the last & you as player needed to spend time.tonadapt to thr changes. The release of Ps3 in 2007 and HDMI gaming meant they had to change the development and make it even better.
Disconnect ultimate team from the game and they’ve always been fine. They are annual releases and like every one of those, you can never expect massive differences from game to game until they drop a console generation. There’s no reason to buy this game more than once every four or five years.
I've had fc24 and fc25 and I can ensure you they are both the same game with a few minor updates, I also can ensure that I won't ever buy the next ones, not only because of this reason but because probably won't have Cristiano Ronaldo for manager career mode
I never played fifa 20,so I think fifa 19 had a good career mode only problem was no team ran away with the league,make me win the league most times, funny enough ps3 fifa19 never had this problem

Fix scripting. Rewrite the game. The graphics are amazing the game is shit. When the game doesn’t want you to score you will not. It’s gotten so bad people know when it’s happening and just quit. I don't have numbers to back this up but I'm 100% sure that ea has to add more content to the game because of what's happening in irl football (new formats, kits, teams, players, etc...) than actually adding something to the game, if football just froze, no team got relegated, no new kits created, no new formats, we would see something noticeable every 5 releases.
I started out with FIFA 97 as a kid. As time went on the graphics and gameplay went through significant changes and I feel like ever since FIFA 14 not a whole lot has changed. From that point on it really started to feel like the same game over and over. The only things that really change are team uniforms, player appearances, the soundtrack and match balls. I played FIFA every year it was released and I kinda stopped after FIFA 22.
Yes and now, there are some changes this year. You get Xp points from Manager mode, pro, etc. All adds up to your seasonal progress. Rush is an interesting game as well. The fact that 2 years ago they included female players in the Ut is also a bonus. The fact, that more people plays EA (Fifa) FC than watching real football in the tv is giving them a very stable reassurance. It's not perfect, but better than any other competitor. Just for fun, I installed a Fifa 13 a few days ago. The evolution since is astonishing! We say nothing has changed, but in real, it did a lot.
They should do legends career season modes. Nostalgia sells. Many of us just genuinely often with good cause have very little interest in today’s players. CM2 97/8 best football game ever.

They aren't making new games every year, they have been just updating and improving the same Fifa from around 2019. All they fo is update the squads and make improvements and rebrand it. When it comes to Pro Clubs, the game was awesome until they moved over to the Frostbite engine. It was all downhill from there. I haven't bought the game since 2021 (same for my friends). It was just copy/paste each year, with the same glitches carrying over. All EA cares about is Ultimate Team (by selling packs) and completely forgot about those playing Pro Clubs. And if you went on their website to complain, you would get kicked out and banned. EA is truly a piece of sh.t company.

They really have stopped doing much but changing the player stats. I'm Canadian so I play EA hockey (stereotypes are often based in truth) , but honestly apart from minor tweeks you are just paying for a new roster. Why buy that every year? What I do personally is just buy it every four or five years. That's generally how long it takes for rosters to turn over, new stars to emerge and all that. Even then, I rarely notice much difference in actual game play. The graphics are a little bit nicer, but whatever. In this modern digital age there is no reason they couldn't just sell updated rosters as DLC every year. I'd probably buy that for 20$. But I see no reason to spend 80$ on the full game yearly.
Real ones know. Proper ball physics, proper player collisions. You had to have the right timing to shoot properly, & so goals were very rewarding. Alot of people picked it up, they couldn't score miracle goals like in FIFA, just by pressing shoot, so they cbf learning anything about player balance/timing & left. But Winning Eleven is still the best & most realistic, to this day! (I prefer WE9, but even WE5, which is PES 1 is, still amazing)
The only reason I don't want to buy it is because it doesn't have all the great players that played the game in the last 20 years. Current players are just 😕

I play almost of FIFA series until now, but never feel must play new series each years. Usually I buy new FIFA once each 2-3 years. Still don't understand, why peoples buying new series each years.
A lot can be improved. You know why people call fifa 14/16 the best fifas? Because that time fifa was so colorful, so beautiful. Now, fifa gives off a deppresing vibe. The menu is so dark and grayish. Even when im playing the game, the theme doesn't seem so colorful. The reason is they changed the engine a couple of years back. If they go back to the engine they used before, the game would've been much better.
The problem is not buying the game every year, the problem is the gambling they put in the game, to become pro, u have to spend thousands, as an example i saw, a pro player that spent 15 000 euros, just for one year, whats makes impossible for a poor person to become pro. When to be a pro football player, lets say that u dont have sponsorships, the gk that spents the most, the price doesnt reach 1000 euros.

Goal & Sensible soccer from the 90`s on the Amiga1200 were/are miles better gameplay and you had to actually have joystick with 1, yes 1 microswitched talents..sensible was more fun, but Goal is where the real football players played their football..
I played fc24 via Xbox game pass. Watched fc25 stream. Downloaded fc23, it's almost the same, except the fact I'm big fan of player career mode and I saw I can get some more attributes in fc23 than in fc24. Ridiculous
Fifa 23 is wayyyy better than FC25. It's far from being the same. FC 25 is rubbish. The sluggish and delay makes it impossible to play. Rush and 3x3 are mostly what makes the game something to consider.

Konami destroyed themselves with Efootball claiming they're doing " EVERYTHING FOR THE NEW GENERATION OF GAMING " instead what we got was a live service mobile game ported to consoles and its now to the point where people are playing the sesson update game that they released for 2020 which just made EA cut loose but now with ufl i hope Konami make a comeback too forcing EA to be like shit we gotta do something
They really have stopped doing much but changing the player stats. I'm Canadian so I play EA hockey (stereotypes are often based in truth) , but honestly apart from minor tweeks you are just paying for a new roster. Why buy that every year? What I do personally is just buy it every four or five years. That's generally how long it takes for rosters to turn over, new stars to emerge and all that. Even then, I rarely notice much difference in actual game play. The graphics are a little bit nicer, but whatever.
In this modern digital age there is no reason they couldn't just sell updated rosters as DLC every year. I'd probably buy that for 20$. But I see no reason to spend 80$ on the full game yearly.
Winning Eleven 7 was the best football game ever hands down.
Real ones know. Proper ball physics, proper player collisions.
You had to have the right timing to shoot properly, & so goals were very rewarding.
Alot of people picked it up, they couldn't score miracle goals like in FIFA, just by pressing shoot, so they cbf learning anything about player balance/timing & left.
But Winning Eleven is still the best & most realistic, to this day! (I prefer WE9, but even WE5, which is PES 1 is, still amazing)

Its not EA fault. Its buyer own decision with their money. I play FIFA since International Soccer on Mega Drive. I play almost of FIFA series until now, but never feel must play new series each years. Usually I buy new FIFA once each 2-3 years. Still don't understand, why peoples buying new series each years.
People say this but buy iphones or samsungs, but at least samsung tries every year, different prices same thing

A lot can be improved. You know why people call fifa 14/16 the best fifas? Because that time fifa was so colorful, so beautiful. Now, fifa gives off a deppresing vibe. The menu is so dark and grayish. Even when im playing the game, the theme doesn't seem so colorful. The reason is they changed the engine a couple of years back. If they go back to the engine they used before, the game would've been much better.

The problem is not buying the game every year, the problem is the gambling they put in the game, to become pro, u have to spend thousands, as an example i saw, a pro player that spent 15 000 euros, just for one year, whats makes impossible for a poor person to become pro. When to be a pro football player, lets say that u dont have sponsorships, the gk that spents the most, the price doesnt reach 1000 euros.

Goal & Sensible soccer from the 90`s on the Amiga1200 were/are miles better gameplay and you had to actually have joystick with 1, yes 1 microswitched talents..sensible was more fun, but Goal is where the real football players played their football..
I played fc24 via Xbox game pass. Watched fc25 stream. Downloaded fc23, it's almost the same, except the fact I'm big fan of player career mode and I saw I can get some more attributes in fc23 than in fc24. Ridiculous

Fifa 23 is wayyyy better than FC25. It's far from being the same. FC 25 is rubbish. The sluggish and delay makes it impossible to play. Rush and 3x3 are mostly what makes the game something to consider.

Fifa 23 with it's offline input lag and stutter on my ps5 made me give up on EA. I reverted back to Fifa 22 and haven't looked back since then.

The game is not just a copy paste, its a downgrade every year it get bad and bad every year i didn’t buy FC 24 so i didn’t know how bad it was and i bought FC25 and you know what ? I regret it i requested a refund and they lied to me they told me that their servers are down they can’t so this is the end for me in this series this will be the last fifa for me FIFA IS DEAD and i am waiting for the next year to see the historical fall of FC i think a few people will buy the game because of this catastrophe FC25
