I have a Jl stealth box on my rear drivers side. This is going to be a pain. I just want to change them because they’re out. I think I’ll leave them though. Not into breaking plastics.
Man you’ll be so happier if you did. New lights on your Hummer will not only look good, but also improves your safety. Heck, it might improve your morale knowing that you fixed it and your rig looks as good as it sounds. Yes, I wish I had that supercharger that yours has.😎 Don’t stress, those panels in the back use push pins style clips, and if your stealth box is just mounted to the panel, you might could just pop the rear have of the panel just enough to replace the light. Go back and check it out. Time Stamp is 10:57 Of course, if you attempt this it is at your own risk.👉📝 your results may diff from mine. *don’t get in a hurry, take your time, don’t use too much force pulling on the interior side panel, use a pry tool (not a sawzall, lol) to help pop out the ouch pins as you go. Could be a new video?🤷♂️
Did you replace your flasher? I did entire lead replacement on my Hummer H2, and when I turn to the signal to the left it flashes rapidly and then when I turn to the right it’s normal and then when I’m not operating the signals I get a message in the dashboard that says to turn on the signal I’m like what the hell
O’WoW, that’s a little crazy!! I didn’t replace my flasher, but when I installed the rear LED tail lights I installed a load equalizer to address electrical issue I was having when using the tail lights. Not sure if thats the answer you need, but I hope it helps out in figuring your issue. Here’s the video on the tails lights and the load equalizer. First let’s tackle this in steps. •What lights aren’t working altogether? Can you explain what is happening? •Did you wire them in, or was everything plug-n-play?
If it is just an LED bulb you put in the stock housing flip the orientation on the bulb. Most LED bulbs will only work when positive and negative match the OEM so if any is ever out just reverse the way its in.
How do you replace the rear side marker lights on a 2005 H2 Sport Utility Truck (S.U.T.)? I see no access to the concealed wire connectors. Also, their is no slack in the wires.
WoW, I didn’t know that there is so little info on accessing them on a SUT! Just from a truck bed pov, I’d checked behind the bed liner, or remove tail light assembly to see if you can get to that plug attached to the inner skin wall like the suv. Only other possible solution would removing the inner fender liner. If anyone else has done this on a H2 SUT feel free to chime in. I hope this guide you in figuring it out and your able to replace those rear side marker lights. Fronts should be easy and right there when you flip the hood up.
@@MichaelEd thanks for replying. I removed the brake light lenses but still no access. To remove the bed liner you have to remove the tonneau cover which is too challenging without help for me anyway. The bedliner does not bend so you have to remove the entire bedliner. It has numerous large allen bolts. Maybe as you suggested removing the rear inner wheel liners might give me access to the connectors. 🙏🤞🍀
Purchased from eBay. As far as attaching them, there are several ways, or you can create your own. I cut enough of the bumper plastic to allow the heat sink to come through then used screws to attach the light to the bumper. That option puts the aftermarket lights in the same depth in the bumper as the oem. I’ve seen some that were attached the the crash bar/frame, and some that not even recessed in the bumper. I’m sure those were attached some how to the back plastic. Wiring is another thing I did differently: It’s pretty straight forward, attach ground wire to ground wire. Drl wire to: (here’s where you have options) the center light and halo to drl wire, or headlight wire, or parking light wire. The choices are up to you on how and which lights come on. I hope this explanation is helpful.👍 This video briefly shows my set-up on the drls: ruclips.net/video/3NY__1ZCecg/видео.html
My left driver side went out today and I'm going to use this video to fix it! Thanks for the tutorial
That foam insulation that covered the original wiring helped keep it in the clip and prevent vibrations & rattles.

Thanks for review. How are the marker lights holding up? Any error codes?
@89vette1 side turn signal/marker lights are doing great!! Not issues, no problems. 👍
Just did this job today on our H2, that rear drivers side, quite literally sucked ass.
Did you go through the top by removing the pack tray?
