What I learned on my second playthrough Bara, is that the main use of Kerenskys, is delaying your Technician Requisitions and upgrades. Buying Mechs to replace the ones your Techs cannot completely repair early. But the vast majority of the playerbase delays their Salvage and Science instead- and to get 25 upgraded Technicians ASAP- so they tend to stockpile an insane number of Kerenskys, but get pigeonholed into upgrading a small number of weapons systems. On my second playthrough, I prioritized Salvage first, and once maxed (H4, Shadow Cat), requisitioned 5 Scientists at a time for the next few levels, so that with 25 Scientists and Technicians; the facility upgrades have the largest immediate impact.
This is really good advice. I’ve been playing alongside Bara, staying slightly ahead by a couple of missions to avoid spoilers. And this is exactly what I did. Worrying about having enough technicians and upgrades to enter missions at 100% While having 20m kerenskies in the bank sat doing nothing while I could have had another star or 2 ready to go 🤷♀️
Also not to forget upscale your mechs tonnage is also a good point. A Nova for example has enough fire power to quickly drop a IS heavy mech. More tonnage and bigger mechs is a good way to go. More armor = less repairs. And the biggest advantage of the clan weaponry is the range of their lasers. If you priorites ER-Laser´s with missles and autocannons as back up or round up you will have less problems with enemys. I mean bara still has his Viper around. I would have changed it to a Shadocat long ago. And have the same Mechs as a spare is also a good idea.
Just from watching this (and not playing), it seemed like the best way to go was to prioritize salvage, then research, and only unlocking a few choice mechs, which you then buy for the whole Star to quickly grind up mech xp and customize. It also looks like you should put off the pilots’ mech specialization a bit to put it on as big a mech as you can get.
You also could use the weight class affinity instead of a special mech. 1.1 for example all heavy mechs is better then Just pick the Hellbringer for 1.2...

@@ServantOfOdin I like Clan Wolf and to a lesser extent Jade Falcon and I have since I first got into BattleTech back in the late 1980s. Despite their name and clan logo, Clan Wolf leadership tends to be the most level-headed and reasonable overall. Unfortunately there's already a MechWarrior game about Clan Wolf all the way back with MechWarrior 2, so I wouldn't be surprised if the devs are going to want to cover Clans that haven't had a game made about them first. I'd love to see Clan Wolf and even Jade Falcon made into their own DLC for MW5: Clans though.
Great missions. Great piloting skills Baradul. Can you walk us through the equipment you use to play the game? Do you use a joystick? A walkthrough of your gaming gear would be greatly appreciated.
"A blatant violation of our ways" - pfffffffff, those are Smoke Jaguars, for them it's their typical modus operandi, they did that shit even before the invasion.
No, they really didn't. Believe it or not, the Clans through Operation REVIVAL are diametrically opposed to collateral and/or unnecessary damage, including threatening non-warriors (though they still tend to view human life as a commodity). This policy was informed through the horrors of the Amaris and Pentagon Civil Wars. It's why they insist on Trials and bidding. In fact, the IO:AE book has them less likely to use WMDs than any other faction, whereas the First SLDF was the most likely. They're not always consistent about it, most obviously with the Trial of Annihilation against Clan Wolverine, and the contradictions inherent in Clan society start to boil over in the wake of Tukayyid. As the timeline progresses, the Clans splinter as they each make different reforms: Clan Nova Cat defects to the Second Star League, Clan Steel Viper starts a series of purges to eradicate spheroid "taint", Clan Jade Falcon adopts a scorched-earth policy of total war…
Note, if you have melee in any on the 6 wpn groups, the AI will move forward to try and punch or kick. Solution is to not have any arms linked to an active weapon group. If in follow mode, the star will goto leader's range. Need to quickly use deployment map to set the to flank and then give free fire orders until you need focus fire to finish a bigboy real fast. This is a persistent AI problem in all the MW games. As evasion wotks only when you're not running directly at an enemy, AI will try to move your star as you move. Change formation. Inverted "V" isn't best for evasion or fire, as one side blocks the other. Dunno the formations avaible. Be nice if Baradul checked at least. But we know his answer. "I can't be bothered." He'd rather just fight. Baradul also fails to use SIMPODS. You can fight old battles. And best of all earn XP for your pilots and mech frames. Allowing you to unlock everything for each chassis. Thus maxing out pilots and mech frames faster. All that's left is research. And repair speed.
Once I pumped up the armor of my mad dogs up to 600+, the hard missions ain't so hard. From security protocols through heir of the dragon. I walked through all these missions except the last. Only had to try twice before I beat that one too. I love the mad dog.
On nova I tested out that a slug cannon x10 can 2 shot the head of an atlas. In simpod. Excited for heavier mechs lol , the dmg from a 10 doing more dmg then a 20 is a little wierd though …..
Just because all techs are asssigned to mechs, doesn't mean they are doing something. I always had to go mech by mech and lower the assigned techs to see if it would go below 100%. Often I could find 2 or 3 and reassign them to a damaged mech.

Well, of course Perez is mad. They had the youngest heir to the throne in their grast and he escaped.
Holy Smokes..? Yeah... Holy Smokes Jaguar....
I kinda had the hunch that Turtle Bay was *the* Turtle Bay. With the city of Edo being named and given a major role, I got what the story was going for. But seeing it displayed this way.... Wow....
And of course saKhan is miffed by that as heck. Rightfully so. Them Fog Kittens were always the hot-headed fellers, so that merciless ruthlessness turns both ways, toward outsiders as well as to the inside.
The blinding smoke needs actual wind direction.. sometimes block.. other times not
1:11:18 is a callback to the mw3 intro.
The Clans in lore decimated the Rasalhague and tore the Draconis Combine up as they took Terra and terrorized it. Only the Davions could stand against them and tricked them into fighting stupidly. Davion went after the Jaguars and obliterated them so much they never recovered. It was a gamble on the Davions part that went their way. Concentrate on the goal and let your star take care of the other Mechs until it is done.
"Santa is down"

This mission took me so many tries I eventually whent with a all er light laser nova with up armor and every heat sink i could fit and the the build melts assaults.
not gona spoil it but at the end it really gets insane.
You can take more of each part by reducing others at the claim screen

"My right!? That's my left!"
That mission where you attack that Union Class is so cool. The cutscene afterward eh... not so much. 😄 Talk about going from 0 to 100 real quick. 😐
Only issue with the drop ship fights was AI derping out n getting half their mech blown off standing just under it enough to not actually shoot anything. Moving em with defend position for that is a lot better
Clan Fog Kitty for you.... That's their basic MO. Hotheaded, ruthless, merciless. No matter if against outsiders, fellow clans or clan-members.
I almost exclusively use er smalls for everything. They are just so op
Could see you were shocked when the nukes went down had the same feeling 😢 story wise the game does not disappoint.
Great missions. Great piloting skills Baradul.
Can you walk us through the equipment you use to play the game? Do you use a joystick? A walkthrough of your gaming gear would be greatly appreciated.
It would be kinda cool if the water would steam when there is a hot mech in it.
MDD-B is my favorite
Are... are we the baddies?
By the way, if U find ammo crate so it will replenish ammo for the whole star, not only for the mech who is picking it.
@@jeremysaklad6703 Bro, I meant Smoke Jaguar, not Clans as a whole.
"I can't be bothered."
He'd rather just fight.
44:43 Hey yo, is that Tex voicing that Elemental? I think it is.
@@olivershawen3503 no it's not growly enough. Tex has more "I am eruditely gargling gravel as I speak."
@@Great_Cthulhu yeah maybe. Tex do be erudite and gravely. Sounds close though. Gonna see if I can go check the credits to see who that is.

Alright, fellas... hear me out now...
heating up.....
Stormcrow was excellent at the time. Used it way beyond it's weight average. It could be made stronger than the Mad dog. It has really good Armor.
1000 years into the future they seems to have lost smokeless powder technology
Just because all techs are asssigned to mechs, doesn't mean they are doing something. I always had to go mech by mech and lower the assigned techs to see if it would go below 100%. Often I could find 2 or 3 and reassign them to a damaged mech.
ok glad it's clear where we are in the timeframe, this is fun to see played out... pun(ish) intended?
Did I just get a Star Citizen ad before your video?
Greetings i hear you applied for Prime target in Operation Bulldog. Applying Future name Tag, Smoked Jaguars.
Thank you for using Operation Snake
They raze the city from Orbit I believe.
It feels like LRMs are overshooting all the time.
I'd like to see a custom paint job for your star. See what's available in the game.
