Yup, more than 20 years between them (38 - almost 39 - and 17 years old, respectively). Looks like that extra experience mattered in those crucial closing points of each game.
Zakaria, it seems is where Asal was when he started pro. Really like his retrieving skills. Perhaps the next world champ. Miguel on the other hand is as amazing as ever. I really dont know how he played those shots after the dive. Only he can produce that magic.
@@JW-bs7xp well if you are Mike Way you would remember seeing me win the match at TRC we played in 5. If you are, I sincerely hope you are doing well and appreciate the coaching over the years.
Looks like it was just a frame to me. No noticeable double hit sound and the ball doesn't have the weird spin that you often get from a double hit. And probably most telling is that Rodriguez isn't at all bothered by it.
I am 53… my 14year old son has just started beating me in squash…it’s just a matter of few more months and I will never win a match against him… That’s how life goes…

Fun fact: in the top 50 men's squash players, Rodriguez is the oldest, and Zakaria is the youngest.
Aliens like Rodriguez don’t age like humans

Was anyone else thinking the first rally was going to be the entire highlights 😅
Lol yes
Indeed haha
Yes
Rodriguez is a gifted player and he delivers all of his talent every match 👏👏👏
Zakaria is already incredible. So excited to see him continue to improve on the tour!
Rodriguez simply a wonderful player! What a squash machine! Patient, accurate and lethal on the most important moments!! Our South American pride!!
damn this angle is fire
This match is a testament to Asal and how good he was as a junior.
The 1st point is like AI generated
Love this viewing angle!!
What a show, nice to watch these guys, Rodriguez, two heads up
Remarkable match up...miguel is entertaining as always..zakaraiya an exciting prospect for future
he still got it
Zakaria will be the next number one player.

Was always a pleasure to watch Miguel and play against him. No unnecessary contact needed just pure skill and a warrior
Do not pretend to have played him young man
@JW-bs7xp
I was #1 in Canada U19 and played him in front of Mike Way whom we were both training with. Perhaps you should not assume things.
@@merchantcain This is Mike Way and can't remember you young man... perhaps you should not assume things

5:02 as well...wat a ralllllllly!!!!
All three games, he killed the winning shot!
Experience still matters.
2:10 and they just finished the first point of the match. Wow.
Zakaria is going to be a top player in two years time
Rodriguez is not in top 5. But always been in top five of best squash warrior ! Always pleasant to watch the combativeness
Proper match!
1:56 double hit off the side wall and frame
Looks like it was just a frame to me. No noticeable double hit sound and the ball doesn't have the weird spin that you often get from a double hit. And probably most telling is that Rodriguez isn't at all bothered by it.
Zakaria …you are the upcoming world champ
That's fun
Well played
One for the gallery
Zakariah V Bryant in 5 years is going to be juiiiicy
Looks like a future world #1 there!
😂Kidding me
5:10 this boast shot from Zakaria is terribly dangerous. How is he let off loose , Purely the refereeing incompetence.
Still my favorite player of all times! Miguel Rodrigues, please keep distance from retirement! LoL
Zakaria- next Ali Farag
It's like playing with a superball, bouncy as all heck.
That young kid will beat him every time in 1-2 years from now
Zakaria will be 19 and Rodriguez 40... Easy prediction
Yeah, but not today....
@@manuplsx wow I didn’t realise Rodriquez is that old, he flies around like a young man

He will be retired by then

Is the back glass so hazy on this court or you didn't manage to provide appropriate quality again?

Embarrassing that Zakaria is playing with goggles
He is required to do so to age 18 i think
