I deeply admire those fortunate enough to witness this match in person. While I sit here shivering in the cold glow of my laptop screen, I can't help but fantasize about the electrifying atmosphere and the visceral reactions I would undoubtedly experience if I were there live. The intensity of the competition, as both teams fought tooth and nail, must have been a spectacle beyond words.
Egonu's performance was nothing short of spectacular, a display of sheer brilliance on the court. However, in the same breath, one cannot overlook Zhu's exceptional skills and contributions to the game. Both athletes pushed their limits, making the match a gripping contest that left spectators on the edge of their seats.
As I marvel at these extraordinary athletes, a wish lingers in my mind: the dream of witnessing Egonu and Zhu teaming up on the same side. The thought of their combined prowess is nothing short of thrilling, and I can only hope that someday this dream collaboration becomes a reality.
This match made me so emotional…. I’m forever a “Zhu Ting fan”. 😍😍😍

It shocked me when these 2 teams were eliminated early in the 2020 olympics.
Yup. I know Zhu's been playing hurt for a bit, but even still she's been good, and China's team over all is very strong. And then you have Italy, one of the best in the world as well for several years now. I thought for certain 1 of these 2 would be in the finals, and probably gold.

@@thedungeon1578 Zhu was still good in Tokyo 2020 even she was injured. The reason China lost was her teammate. None of them was enough to back team up. Usa have none super star in their team. They won cause of evenly strong in every position

I Love how they fight… china always in high level world class volleyball ball .. and italy with egonu is another level. Congratulations for both team .❤
As epic as this battle is, it is so hard for me to watch as ZhuTing fan. This could have been the closest opportunity Zhu ting got her world championship gold and MVP. She got her World Cup and Olympic gold and MVP in 2015 and 2016, world championship is the only MVP she is missing. Now with injured wrist for 3 years, I think her legendary career was inevitably going to an end.
Zhu will be 29 when she will lead the team to coming World Championship. She plays as both core player and skipper. Who else can match her overall skills and experiences? China will be strong contender. Don't be shocked if she plays at 2024 Olympics.
Her career is nowhere near ending lols, she’s said that she wants to go to 2 more Olympic Games so watch her come back even stronger 💪🏻

Still nerve-wracking 😩 I was so rooting for China but Egonu was just too powerful. This was a tiring match for Zhu Ting and Egonu. China really needs a reliable utility.
Volleyball level was very high, both teams struggled incredibly, it is not easy to play these levels, but being a great team requires it...
