- Had a few questions about how does the Vaquero rides above 80+ mph. Well, it rides GREAT!! In my opinion it's an awesome motorcycle for long and short distances traveling. But it LOVES the Interstate and longer trips. Thanks for watching!!

I own a 2016 vaquero and after a 1 year I tested mine at 5 a.m. on I-4 Florida ,when up to 120 for about 3 miles handle great but scary for me ,after that I stay at speed limit and enjoy my bike rather than tombstone over my head .

When i pulled my Vaquero out of the show room to ride home. I had forgotten there were 6 gears so i rode home from Decatur, tx to Dallas in 5th gear. 75 mph at 3.5 rpms. Smooth. I traded in a Harley Sportster.

I ride to work on Rte 101 and I-95 on my 21' Vulcan 1700 Vaquero here in NH, and I have to control myself. 80-90mph is no issue at all, 3,000-3,100 on the tach is normal in OD. I thought I was bad on my 79' KZ1000 ST, this thing just ROLLS! Thank God no cops are around when I go to work, this thing's a BEAST for a factory Kawi Bagger! And I was seriously considering getting the ECU "Flashed"!
You do have to contain that throttle sometimes😁. I'm still holding out on flashing mines.
I rolled up to Maine the other week, and it just WENT! Effortless ly!

Rode out to Pittsburgh on Thurs/Friday, the flow of traffic had me getting passed at 100. You would've never knowing it was so smooth.

I live in Pittsburgh and some nights I get my Vaquero up there in speed. Its just smooth!

I had Ivan ECU done to my Vaquero. I lost torque for sure. But I gain speed especially in the lower gears. My bike ran hot from the dealership. Once I had the ECU done, my Vaquero doesn't run close to hot at all.

The speed limit is 80mph out here in Utah, so we cruise at triple digits for long sections when possible.

@@TD205 It's 70 mph on the interstate as it goes through Salt Lake City, but then it's back up when you're about an hour of town. How does it handle in the corners and sweepers? We have some amazing canyon rides through some of the mountain passes.

How is the Wind buffeting on the vaquero if there is any?
There is some buffeting with the stock windshield, but not too bad. When I put the 10 inch windshield on in the colder months is none at all. Thanks for watching!!👍🏿
Not bad at all with the correct height windscreen. The stock 3-4” looks awesome, but lacks functionality. Fixed fairing really keeps it stable.
