Nah man. His comedic timing and placement of humor was kind of all over the place and he knew it. That don’t loo up joke came out of nowhere. They were serious 90% of the time which was part of the problem. I think Jonah felt awkward about it and tried to loosen things up his joke was too fast and awkwardly placed. He knew something was off which was why he said something but to make matters worse he was getting too personal. Lucky for him he could rebound, say “I love you back” and focus back on the interview.

Just remember when the cameras are on him during things like this he’s at work trying to sell himself and the movie he is in so of course he’s going to try and be funny and relatable and nice but when the cameras are off everything I’ve heard about the guy is that he’s a huge douche bag. If you don’t think people can be like this then just look what happened to Ellen. I’m not trying to be a jack ass here but you can’t look at one interview where he’s trying to sell a movie and think he is a great human being just based on that

Maybe for people who never saw the Grateful Dead with Jerry and or they are too young to have done so it would work for them.
Plus they would have to have an entire cast of actors to play the other band members.
There’s just nothing better then the real thing .

I think people are starting to see celebrities as people rather than royalty. They are very talented people (most of the time) that got really lucky to perform in front of a wide audience. They fear, they cry, they dream, just like you and me. But the ones that stay in the game and grow consistently are the ones that see it as an identity, and not an end. Like, instead of reaching a status, they are a world class actor, or musician. It's what they do. And they find ways of staying fresh, and continuously improving themselves. As you can see, Jonah has that mindset. But at one point, he was somebody you would hang out at school with or somebody's neighbor, or a guy you just talked to at the store never knowing what he would accomplish and the influence he would leave on the planet.
