    Being a Vox guy, I think that this amp sounds ace. Sounds like the real deal, perhaps even better than modern production Vox amps.

    Now this is a great demo! 5 minutes of no talking, no BS, just tones. A great showcase of the amp in all of its Vox-like glory.
    My only real question: what happens when you put a treble booster in front of it? Does it absolutely rip and bring that Rory Gallagher/Brian May tone? Because that right there is the holy grail of Vox tone.

    Love the AC30 sound, definitely been GASing for these victory coppers. $2500 is ouch though, that’s approaching Matchless territory in price. I think the Victory gives you a lot more features than other boutique Vox-style amps in its price range though.

      Victory is up there as far as amps go, I have the v40 deluxe combo and it’s incredible. The only amp that I was looking to replace it with was a tone king imperial mk2 or the hamstead artist 60rt, which both are more expensive. And even yet the victory really doesn’t lack behind those 2. So I really would give victory a big thumbs up in its quality.

      damn where do you live?! In the UK they're like 1500 pounds. Equivalent price to the chinese made fender reissues ...

    Always loved this amp. Great speaker choice too. Everything Victory does is top notch. This is and the Kraken are probably my favorites but I would easily play any of their amps. Really cool to see the Copper in a combo! When I first heard the demo with Mick from TPS and Rebea playing a Les Paul custom and when he hit the Husdson Broadcaster set to a fuzz setting it sounded insane. The volume definitely brought out all the chime and sparkle especially with the Hudson pedal and Les Paul. To me, this is cleaner than a Vox and has more modern features which I really like, especially the wattage change which I know from experience owning an Orange OR15 which you can choose 15 watts or 7 watts which is perfect for my condo. I was surprised at that 7 watts is a lot of power. Even on my Katana MKII the 0.5 watt setting can get very loud.

      @@LivingroomGearDemos I know this is not really in your wheelhouse so I’m not going to see it demoed by you or probably anyone else on YT with a good quality recording setup, but I’ve been dreaming of a clean headroomy Fender or Vox style (in your case I’m thinking the good ol’ Hamstead-which is its own thing I know but I think it might be the ticket) paired with a 5150 combo (specifically the old block 2x12 bc it has to my ears the best cleans out of all the 5150s). I feel like everything from pretty, full, 100% clean to tight, bitey Ola-style chugs/meedlies to grinding, fuzzy doom would be right at my fingertips.
      The dream… :)
      Realistically I’ll try to get as close as I can in the next couple years with my Classic 30 with a G1230H and get a 5150 iconic 1x12 (since the block combos on reverb will surely be gone), maybe build a 2x12 or 15 cab for them to share.
      Im just sharing with you mostly bc of your stereo/amp combination interest :) Love stereo but balancing the two amps, especially live can be a challenge = it’s thought provoking.

    How do you find this compares to your Hamstead? I notice a lot more high end "sizzle" going on.

    • @LivingroomGearDemos
      @LivingroomGearDemos  2 года назад +2

      I love the Hamstead, but I've never found it to sound very Vox-like. I remember hearing about it first through TPS, and they said it did (if I remember correctly). Hamstead, to me, is somewhere between a Fender and Vox. Closer to a Fender.

    • @mattswanton
      @mattswanton 2 года назад

      @@LivingroomGearDemos TPS was how I found out about Hamstead too. My Artist 20 doesn't have that kind of chime, but the midrange character is certainly sweet. Looking forward to your next video comparisons with the Copper Deluxe, it's definitely made my shortlist after this!

    Victory amps sound almost too VOXy in my experience. Like very overexaggerated version of them, almost like a parody in some cases which is not necessarily a good thing.

  • @jacobansari808

    I don’t know why nobody makes a Marshall-style combo like this with a 1/12. Whoever does could easily print money and sell a lot of amps

    What is amp rattle?

    • @LivingroomGearDemos
      @LivingroomGearDemos  2 года назад +1

      When you play, especially loud, there's a rattle from either loose parts or the tube sockets that can be audible whilst playing.
