what if with the improvement of technology, EVE devs would just say "everyone, we're making a successor to EVE Online" with a free item transfer to all players that apply for the swap in a couple months, I would do that.

Just a heds up, there wasn't over 5,000 players in M-O It was a little over 4,000 as a peak and was usually around 3,000 more or less. And don't be fooled into believing it was the biggest battle ever, it pales in comparison to the bloodbath of B-R. M-O lost about 5400 dollars in damages. B-R lost over 300,000 dollars. Source- I was at M-O
I don't know if it left a wreck or not, the server was so laggy that it took 5 minutes for the explosion to show up so maybe a wreck appeared after awhile. I think they are supposed to leave wrecks though.

Cool but very arcadey and traditional mindset when it comes to "final blows" and how apparently every single piece of matter in the universe has its own little (or large) nuclear bomb inside just waiting for the signal. EVE is a pioneer but it's time to let more realistic sims and multiplayer games take over in my opinion. Or maybe a sequel where they abandon the child/Hollywood mindset. Reality is just as impressive, you just have to find the proper norm.
Saxfire there is a big difference between operational and inoperational. It’s the first time an operational keepstar was killed so it’s in a way the first real keepstar kill.

Taking on a keepstar and the alliance that owns it is a massive undertaking compareable to the siege of troy or something on that scale
