What a total messed up childhood, I have to finnish watching later, duty calls.
In the street where I lived the first 18 years of my life, there also was a slaughterhouse. I played on the terrain aswell. It turned me into a fulltime vegetarian and parttime vegan.
How awful. I don't know how anyone can do that job. If I had to kill for my meat, I'd never eat flesh again. I really want to stop eating meat but I've had some health issues for most of my adult life, but I would never eat meat every day or for multiple meals a day, it's excessive and unhealthy if anything. Even if people just cut down and ate it a couple of times a week, it would have a massive impact. Also, be aware of what companies you support when it comes to meat, dairy and eggs etc. I think everybody can do that.
@@We_Are_All_Vultures Yep, I agree. Better 10 people eating less animal products than I person vegan and 9 barbecuing. If we could cut the consumption back so we can get rid of factory farming, we accomplished a lot. I like even less, but I'm realistic aswell (that's why I'm not vegan always. If someone prepares as vegetarian meal for me, I'm grateful).

I have a hard time with people being punished for a crime they committed, after a childhood where they have been punished for no reason at all. Community should be protected against her, but the punishment she already receives pre crime, with permanent braindamage even before she was born. That there are people with comparable upbringing developing normal, should be celebrated. In my eyes they deserve a life long support by the community, who let this happen to them.

I feel sorry for Christa Pike. What interests me about this story is that we were born the same year. Child Protective Services in the State of WV failed Christa. She should’ve not been placed back with her mother. I’m not excusing the murder but Tadaryl Shipp should’ve received the same sentence due to his involvement and encouragement to murder. I hope the State of TN reduce her sentence to life in prison.

I had actually heard of this case before and it vaguely reminded me of a book I read by Barbara Davis called Suffer the Little Children. Both stories are disgusting, to say the least

I really like your show but the history in the beginning really throws me off track because it has nothing to do with the case. I know it's just for background but it really doesn't add anything interesting to the story
Thank you for the feedback. The factors of what the pregnant mother was exposed to, physical or mental, as in what was in the news, can affect her physically while she is pregnant and thus affect the fetus.
