I know the SRPD/SBSA are advertized as +45 to -35 seconds a day or something like that. Pretty sure it's the same 4R36 movement in this one too. My SBSA013 runs I think -2 to -5 a day in colder temperatures but +2 to +5 in Texas summer
I love this dial. I’ve been on an Ultem kick lately with my edc and dial looks exactly like Ultem. I may just have to pick one up and put it on a NATO or an aftermarket bracelet.

Bought the Seiko SRPJ45, with the blueisch dial.
It looks to me like the caseback *is* the same color as the crystal, it's just that the movement metal is darker than the calendar wheel.
Maybe they didn’t put a screwdown crown on it because their plan for this watch is to be like “the first proper watch” and people aren’t used to the screwdown crown and nobody reads manuals, just look at Amazon reviews of invicta watches, so many complaining that the watch died on the pool with a clearly visible screwdown crown that isn’t screwed down 😅🤦🏻♂️
I like this design, I miss the semi transparent design language from the 90s.
Even the brown looks nice.
But I think this watch is too expensive when you can get a similar or better spec watch on Aliexpress starting at $100 (San Martin, Addiesdive, Pagani Design, Cronos).
I got a Pagani for $60 on a promotion, NH35, sapphire cristal, 200M water resistant (doubt it gets 200, but neither do I will get that deep).
I think people leave bad reviews on Invicta watches because they are Invicta. Also, Pagani are another mass produced Chinese watch brand, known for poor quality and questionable movements. Comparing a Seiko to a Pagani is laughable. Also, you do realise that the water resistance metric isn't how deep the watch can go, right?

I think it was a tip of the hat to the Time Sonar. Check it out. Personally I think it’s retro-groovy watch from the 1970’s

Seiko always catches my eye, but they fail in every possible way with their bracelets. They are so bad, it's emberrassing
I must be lucky because I don’t like bracelets on a watch.
Uncle Seiko is a great website. Got a replacement bracelet for around $90 usd. Totally changed the feel of the watch.
That is why I use aftermarket

the case back IS the same color it's the same ultem material as the dial, just fyi. it looks so dark because it doesn't have a bright white dial pressed right up behind it to reflect the light back out ....but it is, none the less, the same color.

I’m hard of hearing and sometimes watch your vids with captioning on. Todays auto-generated captioning funny was “lume alone” rendered as “Lou Malone”. Could Lou be some kind of channel mascot?

The meh bracelet company, surely they could do a good one.
Definitely sound is far worse than previously on this vid and seems like video stabilization and focus speed also way off before. Might just be my imagination.
