  • The PRC has been in the works for a very long time. I wanted to design a carrier, that met the needs of both the Concerned Citizen as well as the men and women of our LE community. And address some of the issues I had seen with other styles of carriers. By looking at some of the design concerns of other carriers, we were able to make some specific design changes to the PRC that would allow the end user to scale the carrier with our current line up of RDRgear accessories.

Would have loved to see this carrier being padded.

Once you put it on. You will find you don’t need it. The straps and the shape, at the neck and shoulders. Are unlike anything else. And if you wanted to add shoulder pads you could add a variety of after market brands.

David, after watching the video. What are your thoughts on the PRC other then wanting a FDE/Coyote color.

@@rdrgear that’s great to hear on the future color options. I really like the gear you guys put out and love to support local as I am also here in Utah. The PRC seems well thought out and very adaptable. I’ve been running a Slickster lately and the PRC seems to meet if not exceed all the features I initially chose the Slickster for. The PRC seems similar in some aspects, but with additional features I like such as the wider yoke style shoulder straps that appear more comfortable, the well thought out placement of the Velcro for the front and rear bags for adaptability with pouch usage, and the wider plate bags which better accommodate 10x12 plates. All in all I’m excited to try this out and look forward to testing more of your guy’s gear.

Any chance of a small size option coming later on? Love the concept and the carrier looks great, but I run small plates and can not stand the slop of sticking them in a 10x12 carrier.

    • @rdrgear

The percentage of small plate is too small t support a carrier, not to mention If we made a small carrier. You would have a hard time finding any accessories due to the lack of mounting space. If you are running small plates, add some 10x12 foam plate backers. I have several female Taskforce agents, running the PRC with 8 x12 lates with a foam 10x12 plate backer with zero movement.

Of those that I have met or spoke to. Who are running xl plates. Don’t actually have the body to require xl plates. To make inventory for the handful who may have a XL plate, a Crye JPC would be the answer. The body type that would be the correct size for a XL plate would be 6’2 and 220 to 240lbs roughly per Mil sizing standards for esapi plates. We built to cover more of the domestic standard 10x 12- 10x-12.5.
