Great video. Valve replaced in about 30 minutes total. My only comment would be to leave the control panel connected and just leave it sitting on the washer lid.
omg that cover release. 5 min for the back screws. 5 min to change the valve. 5 min to button it up. 30+ min to take the cover off! Thanks, it saved me the repair bill, just 50 for the new valve
Thank you so much for this video! Was able to overnight part from Amazon and take care of it just in time for back to our school laundry demand! This momma couldn’t wait 3 weeks for repair man!!
Sir, this is a brilliant video. ! Your explanation was crystal clear and you did not speed through the process. I hope your other videos are as well presented. I'm getting a Lo FL error message on my 3 year old Maytag washer. I'm guessing this may fix the problem. Thank you.
Was helpful thanks. Only the cut scenes were the parts that are difficult to do like pry out the top. It would be helpful to see struggle a bit. You make it look like it’s so easy but the cut scene was kind of the hint that we’re going to struggle a bit to do it
I have a question...I have a roper...cycle starts to fill then stops and stays in sensing with lid locked. I figured it was the actuator since it us over 10 years old..but if I don't have the hot hose hooked up, would that cause the same issue??
You will take the putty knife and release the spring clips on both sides of the control panel. From behind you will push the control panel forward and you can turn it over and lay it on the top.
I hate how the screens are part of the valve. Used to be you could replace them separately for about $2 each. Now they want to sell you the whole valve, which is anywhere from $40 to $90.

You are welcome! Glad you were able to fix your issue! If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.

Will this be a fix for my Maytag washer that doesn't stop water flow automatically?
What if one of the new blue coils is leaking. Does that mean it's defective?
If the hoses were connected properly and the coil is leaking then it could be a defective part.
Is it possible for the wire harness not to work? Because I changed my intake valve and it worked for a day and now I’m getting the LF code again
It is possible that the harness could be bad. What is your model number and we can look into this for you.
WTW7000DW
I really hope this is the problem
Have you checked for any clogs or kinks? Check to make sure the drain hose is installed correctly?
Step 2 is BS. How do you get the control panel off? The screen cuts an voila! is is loose?

I understand your frustration, unfortunately, that is just how those are designed now.
