Had left thumb done in 2019 and right in 2021. Also had carpal tunnel surgery in conjunction with each surgery. Recovery was relatively easy, little to no pain and gained full function on both within a few months. I never needed physical therapy as I did my own at home. Right thumb had totally frozen up as the trapezium bone had fractured into pieces. Had a fantastic hand surgeon who specialized in micro surgery. Haven’t had any problems since.
